Does anybody know what 1 AUR is worth in ISK?
I know CCP would never allow a player to buy AUR with isk, but I was just curious to see how much more the AUR was worth. If they did allow it, they could charge all the noobs big bucks and drain their piggy banks! Items with a real monetary value should be worth more then in game currency. AUR items on market don't add up -vs- simullar isk variants. |

It's the same exact manner in which PLEXs work in EVE. You can either pay $15 for one month of subscription or buy a PLEX with ISK and pay for one month like that. But CCP isn't losing money, because someone else had to pay $15 for the PLEX. In Dust, you should be able to buy AUR from others with ISK. Those players bought the AUR, and that AUR is simply trading hands. CCP never loses money because someone always has to buy AUR, otherwise there'd be no AUR to purchase with ISK.
I already do! Just trying to see if $50 mill isk is to low for 20,000k aur plus bpo saga vehicle and tons of gear! |

You can't really compare aur items to their equivalents isk and get a rate.
Remember you are not buying aur items to save isk, you are buying aur items to access them earlier, so then it is up to the players to come to a median number on what that early skill boost is worth.
I know some people do buy a few aur guns every now and then to compensate isk costs , but that does not go for all the other items in most cases. And a 300 aur tank is worth alot more than 200 isk/aur.. that comes out to like a 60k tank.. with guns on it 300 aur is 4 mil and some change.
So that would mean 20,000 aur would be worth "around" 140 mill? Whose buying AUR?

You can buy sp boosters and blueprints with aur which you can't get with isk. Sp boosters save time, and time is money so it makes sense. Blueprints are a one time purchase so there's some sense in that.
Buying items with aur that you can get an equivalent item with isk though makes no sense to me. That's real money for an item you can lose because some **** doesn't know how to pilot a dropship or a server boots you. I lost a sh*t load of aur gear in the beginning! It was so unstable. Every other match boot/black screen of death! |

But the simplest way to break it down is by what aur items cost vs theism items(thought that varies greatly)
A 100 aur suit can cost 50,000 isk.
Yeah but a 50k isk swarmie is 40 aur haywire (bought a 1000) Die tank scum! |
