No mention of the release being successful, only the beta. Careful omission of words used to make it sound more successful than it is. The game has to make money, or else why keep it running? Granted, they couldn't make money off of the current state it's in no matter how hard they tried, but the guy they bring in might offer up suggestions on how to monetize future patches and expansions. 5 years experience is better than taking the first guy that sends in an application with a semester of accounting basics. The game's in a pretty bad state as it is, but they're looking for experienced help instead of what I said above. Shanghai is where the game is being developed. Wouldn't be that useful to hire a guy to work in a department halfway across the globe that doesn't exist.

CCP itself (with approx 600 employees) is doing quite well with EVE.

Is the applicant that gets drawn in by your spin really the person you want to somehow come up with ideas to make money out of you pretty below average lobby shooter? Any applicant worth their salt would y'know visit the community forums to see how things were going.

The fact that they put this post on Aug 9 means that either they fired their Business Manager or they just started looking for one. Either way doesn't bode well for the company because firing of the business manager means they made very bad decisions. Hiring a business manager now means that someone somewhere messed up real bad. Dust has been flushing down the drain for a while. The hiring of a BM is a desperate stop gap to prevent the inevitable.
