I'm not sure what you're trying to get across. The forge gun is hardly a "I win" button, especially considering you have to be stuck with a heavy frame suit.

All I'm getting out of this is you joined a pub stomp on the side of the stompers and were able to kill a decent number of people without dying. Anyone can do that too. Heck, given those conditions I could go 10-0 with the plasma cannon.

Same could be said about tower sniping, yet no one ever brings that up.

Read again, I was at the center of the map, the rest of the team was at the redline. I managed, in 5 minutes, to pick off every single person who made it to the center from the redline. They they tried sniping, but LOL heavy suit.

tanks are a pretty big target even at long range, a bit of variation would still allow them to pwn tanks (not something i like) but not be a hip fired super sniper rifle against inf, they shouldn't be a weapon you can sit on a tower 200m away from a point and make sure no one hacks it, IMO.

Everyone I killed was on the move. The myth that forges only kill people standing still is b.s.

That's why FGs have splash. Its to hit people on the move.


Once again I love how the FGs ammo is just ignored. It takes roughly to 2 splash shots to kill someone. That's half your shots half of which won't kill a tank or a dropship that's posing a threat. There's about 16 shots in total you'll be taking they'll be going in 4s. 3 shots need to be reserved for tanks if theirs one on the BF that's the minimum needed to either kill or scare off a tank.

Going into a game FGs are either AV or AI not both without A)back up or B)a gastun. Now people like to argue "FGs on roofs with nanohive hur dur op". I want everyone in the thread to reflect on what I said earlier about back up. Once again this is all kitten that's been going down since chromo and only NOW is it being considered OP.

Another thing forgotten is the COST of a FG. Now I know tankers wanna compare the two but DON'T. The tank might get killed by AV but the FGer is getting hunted by everything else.

On that note let's not forget game mode also plays alot into the effectiveness of weapon and vehicle. A tank in ambush is alot easier to hunt down and kill than a tank in domination/skirmish. A FGer also racks up a lot more kills in ambush than he will skirmish but he might die alot more and ambush if he gets rushed.
