This repair tool would have the following characteristics.
500 armour repair a second.
7 meter range
20 second active timer enabled.
10 second cooldown.
The same stats CPU/PG wise for a proto repair tool.
This tool would allow dedicated support players, the advantage to keep armour heavy infantry alive while in close proximity to them. Heavies will be very hard to kill while this is on them. The support player will have to be taken down in order for the armour player to be neutralized.
This Super Triage Repair tool gets extremely hot while distributing that many nanites at once and has to cool down every 20 seconds. This many nanites would break up a beam at farther ranges than 7 meters so that is why it is a short range repair tool.

Hmmm... would this still work on vehicles and instillations? This is an interesting idea to say the least.

Does it repair shields and ammo too? lol jk I like the idea, but how bout a twist on constant repping? How about a 1 shot burst kind of thing with a couple seconds of cooldown, just BAM heal. I do feel like it would be quite OP on something like a tank but I guess to make the tank not invincible you just gotta shoot 1 guy. |

If it gave 1000 armour then your idea is a good one, but it doesn't. At least not this variant |

This seems kinda cool.
Now that I think about it, players should get a bonus for killing reds that are currently reping someone/something. Bonus would probably be like 5WP but it would reward you for helping your team take down the big guy lol.

dude 500 armor repair a second, and 20 seconds of it, that's enough to be unstopable. it needs more than 10 second cooldown. do you know what would happen if they added this
3 guys get this and rep each other, they all stand right next to each other a 4th guy goes and hacks an objective while all the other guys unstopably block every single shot, and don't die. or a hidden guy heals a guy hacking an objective so he can't die... or 4 guys stand on a tank and heal it, that's 1000 armor per second for 20 seconds!!!

I imagine a super repair tool to be a sort of automatic lock-on, unlimited target kinda thing, so you essentially become a walking triage nanohive.
Lets say its 500hp/s, but is distributed evenly to all teammates in a 5m radius? And make the visual effect obvious; like a yellow aura around the logibro using the tool. It would be interesting, to see people start aiming at the logibro because they're a bigger threat than the heavy.
Perhaps add a movement penalty when using the super repair tool, too. Either 50% or no movement at all, when activated.
It might encourage more grenade spam though. |

The worry of teamwork over using this idea can be countered, with the fact you have 1 heavy with 3 healers, making him boss, or 3 or 4 guys spamming heals on a hack, plasma cannons, forge guns, grenades. This wont make every one invincible, but it will make you have to pick you targets wisely. Plus right now, it's not as if even these heals will stand up 2 the current squad style, flux and MD, non stop explosions, logi would be dead quick. I was laughing at the amount of explosions in a match last night, reminded me of that blackadder goes forth poem. The game on the other hand is suffering, so many new players met with pure MD spam...
Back to the topic: This might be ok if the triage tool used you L weapon slot instead, or make it have to over charge itself, using the logi's shield for power. |

i would like a proto Axis for vehicles reparations it's the only one missing, core focused rep tool is more infantry oriented it has more or less 60 points of reparation more than the best triage tool on infantry but only 9 points more than the advanced axis tool on vehicles. I would also like a shield repair gun for vehicles. |

15 on is far too long, not to mention you can carry 2 repair tools.
How about something like an overcharged repair tool? - 250 healing per second(should be able to keep a heavy alive under fire) - 10-15m range
- Overheating causes user damage(lets say 50-100 hp/s) - Overheating does not stop repair gun from being used - Overheating begins 5 seconds after lock
- Cool down is 2x the amount of time the repair gun is used(eg if it was used for 2 seconds the cool down would be 4 seconds)
- Secondary overheat(5 seconds after initial overheat) causes player instant 250 neutral damage and locks repair gun in hand for 20 seconds(if the player survives - at 50hp/s my proto minmatar logi would survive, at 100hp/s it would die)
- No WP for self inflicted or friendly fire damage(to prevent boosting). |

Yeah, I could see this as being a problem if one player on a small hill drops a nanohive and chucks proto AV grenades at a tank while being healed from below. I wasn't looking at it from a vehicle perspective but then again it would work the same on vehicles. |

FG stands out w/ 2 logis repairer him FG never dies because the repair tool out repairs the head shot proto scattered large blaster DPS... infantry now have more tank then tanks... balance is complete lost and forge spam becomes the only way to play other then a logi w/ said repair tool.
