my squad and i just finished an instant battle domination against 5 guys from rising suns (and then just random other corps) and they had uplinks in the exact same location, even after we destroyed them. Basicly our squad went and destroyed their uplinks, but the enemy team kept spawning in, even with no uplinks, then 5 minutes later 3 uplinks appeared in the exact same place (literally the exact same place) every time we destroyed them. so we lost cause they could spawn out of thin air. |

I was the squad leader and basically committed suicide 8 times to get all 3 of my m1 locus grenades on them and they'd be destroyed but then reappear within the next 30 seconds. |

ive seen this too, only i think it was in a wall, and i could shoot the wall and kill the ppl still inside , but every so often uplinks would spill out of the spot in the wall , maybe ppl are deploying them from inside the walls |

okay yeah possibly... i have seen the glitch where they get stuck in the wall, that is more of a glitch this was more of somebody using a hack or something. because we could still destroy them and they would go away, but they would magicly reapear in the exact same spot every time, and they could still spawn even without the uplink there itself. |

I haven't experienced this but there is a little information that you need to know.
If the spawn point (whatever it is) exists and you get spawned to it it takes a few seconds to actually spawn. First we have 220ms client/server network connections (or larger) in one direction. This action could realistically take three or four communications between a client/server. Not to mention there are at least two clients talking during this time. Minimum conversation = 440 ms (almost a half of second) to nearly 2 seconds if the comms time out at exactly the worst moments (5 * 440 = 2.2 seconds).
We now spawn in with increased armor and are cloaked. If you want to watch the effect target the area just above a drop link. Your cross hairs will turn red before you see the Red. Don't shoot until they appear as you will mostly waste your bullets with the increased armor at spawn.
Add in the fact that there has always appeared to be a few seconds that one can spawn, the drop link can be destroyed but the Merc is already on the way. As a programmer let me tell you I would not allow the spawned Merc to stop or reset out of the spawn. That sucker is gonna wind up there once he has left the war barge.
As I was typing this out it occurred to me how to do this: Spawn in and immediately equip a drop uplink then immediately deploy it. Use the D-9 (or whatever allows to at a time) and drop two. Considering how drop uplinks work (spawned Merc is facing the direction the uplink was tossed) I would guess it would be fairly often you could hit the same spot. At worst you would have to back up first.
A heavy with an Assault HMG or maybe even a Burst HMG could farm the Kitten out of this system. |

I know of all that but how could they place the same 3 uplinks in the exact same place on the floor, not in it, cause I spammed Andes in that corner constantly and would see them and here them get destroyed. |

That wouldn't make the drop uplinks re appear after destruction in the exact same spot, not area but spot. They literally never moved. |

Oh, literally the same spot.
There's a slight chance of server desync but I have my doubts about that. |

Alright I will continue with a little devils advocate.
Uplinks take a few seconds to light up. I have nothing to back this up but if one object over lays the other graphically the one out of view will not be drawn. Which might well include its candle effect if it is an uplink. And it might actually block its activation depending entirely on how CCP/Shanghai implemented the object overlay code.
My previous suggestion would imply a time frame like this.
First Red drops uplink(s). A Proto Minmatar Logi could drop eight uplinks, btw. Second Red drops in on that uplink and repeats.
Later as you are trying to take it out several of their team can spawn in, drop more uplinks (with the required multi second delay) and start shooting you. Loop until everybody goes bonkers.
What would help myself and possible others with this is to give us a time frame of what happened to your squad. What was the length between spawns, the time it took to kill an uplink before another appeared and so forth.
Now, this may all be for naught as just the blocking of the hidden object might explain the entire mess.
The next time I would simply camp it, hold your cross hairs on it and watch them turn red. Shoot, kill, blow the uplink and repeat. |

They were constantly spawning from the same corner under an overhang and drop uplinks would reappear within 30 seconds after I through in grenades that would destroy them. We could not camp the drop uplinks due to their team having complete control of the area and it was due to their basically invisible spawn that I suixides into to get all of my 3 bases into at least 6 times and yet they kept spawning whether the drop uplinks showed or not. |

Sounds like the server wasn't registering that the uplinks were gone, so it was still spawning people in on those locations. In doing so, it was sending back information to the players that the uplink was there and active despite there being no uplink. Even when destroyed a second time, the server still didn't register this and the following respawn respawned the uplink. |

Ive noticed this happening over the last few days. After destroying uplinks and taking out enemy players in the area, sometimes players will still spawn in the spot the uplink was for a few minutes after. Found this on ambush, skirmish, and dom. I dont play much FW, so I can not comment on that game mode. |
