I'm not sure if these ideas have been suggested before. As a logi with 3 equipment slots, injectors are necessary but become bothersome. Since we do not need to pull out and hold injectors to use them, I have two suggestions:
1. Could injectors be unlisted or grayed out and unable to be equipped and held during battle? As a logi in the fray of battle accidentally switching to an injector when I mean to grab my rep tool can be frustrating. There is no benefit, that I am aware of, to being able to just hold the needle out, except if you want to show team mates that you have it.
2. After I revive a team mate by pressing O, can my clone pull out what I was using before pressing O? For example, I could be firing to provide cover fire, revive someone, and immediately pull my gun back out. Alternatively, I could grab my rep tool in preparation, revive, and have my tool right there to rep.
I think these changes would benefit more than just the logi role. Let me know what you guys think about these ideas for changes to injectors |

1. Train yourself and develop muscle memory. I rarely switch to the injector so my rep tool is in the lower left slot and my other equipment (usually nanohives) are in the right slot, with the injector in the middle. It's easier to switch to the outlying two pieces of equipment.
2. This already happens, just make sure you don't press any additional buttons when you hit circle to revive. If you press R1 then sometimes your nanite injector stays out. |

I find I often start switching equipment and even meleeing when I'm trying to strafe around. usually happens when I'm zoomed in, but I kind of agree with the OP in that it should be something of an extra interact button vice an ACTUAL tool kit. |

I've noticed that having the injector out already makes it quicker to use, can just walk up and stab, no switching neccesary. Probably also eliminates the rubber band effect, I always switch to my rep tool right after a revive but sometimes it switches back to my gun or back to the injector for whatever reason. I've gone through that starting phase where I pick the wrong equipment and accidentally throw down a droplink instead of healing someone, just takes practice. |
