this is just a request but can you please put a reddot sight on the ars that dont have scopes for patch 1.4. it should not be that hard to do as some of the guns have a reddot model on them. to make this simple can you please put the lazers reddot on the ar. i mean this is the patch i have been wating for 1.4 new aiming controls an i being an ar user would love for nothing more than to have a reddot on top of the new aiming. |

So there can be even more complaining about the AR.....fiine how it is. A reddot would be just plain silly. No need to make it any more desirable. Now if you attach a Nova Knife on the end of it you would be on to something. |

Make it an option not eve1 wants them, Personally I think they should have the sight, at close range hipfire is fine, but towards maximum range iron sights are lame |

It must look ******** to a new player. Space age combat with iron sights.
I'd rather no weapon had iron sights until the ability to customise the weapons becomes available. |

I think if it was believable, EVE ships would just use their ship drones for planetary battles, or just shoot any threat from orbit (instead of just being limited for minor support), if there is a job requiring intelligence beyond drone AI then people would just remote control giant badass hovering drones through quantum entanglement instead of using their squish slow weak clone bodies. There are a thousand little things I could nitpick with this game being futuristic (like hand-tossed grenades), the AR not having an optic sight is not even odd considering all that. |

Adjust to Dust. I have heard it before from players who are used to other FPS giving them scopes and red dot target reticules on everything.
As far as that goes, I think its good for what weapons that already have it. Of course tactical rifles would have it because of the single shot and such.

The AR is an easy weapon to use. Just point and shoot. Not hard at all to use the iron sights. The way it sits now it requires some skill to pull off headshots. With a reddot there would be no need for damage mods with it because everyone and their dog would be able to shoot you in the dome piece from max range. Give the LR some help tracking the target while we are at it, hell just let our clones be npcs that never miss a shot. |

After reading all the EVE books I have to disagree there is a need for Infantry controlled groundbattles at least for the "great houses" and surely to a certain degree for corporations as well as annihilating erverthing from space means less profit when you simply can take the stuff over.
Futuristic sights and weapons would be a great plus for the game at least for the representation its sad that all the stuff is just so basic and uncreative.
On a sidenote all weapons could use more futuristic sights not only the AR even the reddot of the ScR is really only a basic one. |

I never said it should be like that, I'm saying it's perfectly normal for the AR not to have futuristic sights since there are tons of things that common sense would suggest should be more futuristic but aren't. Basically the futuristic argument doesn't matter since nothing is really as futuristic as it should be anyway.
Actually though, it would be pretty fun to play an FPS where you remote control a badass hovering killer drone, and get to see what it sees. It would be kind of like a first person mech game, like Hawken. |

Yes they could but humans seem to trust humans more than machines and I beleive this won't change in the future as well. The human factor is still important and with the raise of the immortals the usefullness of drones is shrinking as there is more loss in lives on the battlefield...
