Nerf the range of rail gun tanks.
It's a struggle to kill cowardly tank drivers who hide on the red line before they move out of range or more commonly, line of sight. Spent the last couple of games just trying to catch them.
Not only do the have a superior position, the red line preventing you from circling them but they can recall vehicles almost as quick as I can reload and obviously a much longer range.
Blaster tanks, I don't mind. Clever drivers of those deserve respect. |

It's not an AR, so there is reason to be concerned. Especially with the amount of hate they are getting recently. |

- Its projectile doesn't show up properly, so it's damn hard to tell where you got hit from
- The hit indicator seems to treat the hit itself as a fixed point in space, and rotates around it, so that in a fast vehicle or a Dropship it's almost impossible to tell where the shot came from.
Both of these are related to the same issue of it being hard to tell where that massive damage hit came from. If you give the Forge Gun a proper visible tracer/projectile and fix the hit indicator so it properly shows where the shot came from, there would instnatly be no more problems. |

All I'd change is the speed of the round. Any energy projectile with that amount of energy being contained in a sphere would not have the extra energy to push the projectile at that speed. You have a relatively small weapons platform creating a projectile of that size and power yet it still has the energy reserves to fire it at those speeds, somethings gotta give. I'll stand and fight a forge gunner as long as I can but when they can fire a projectile nearly as strong as my rail gun and faster too boot your damn right I'll retreat after a few hits. |

That's a stupid idea.
I've had to cross the red line and suicide to get most of the tanks because they can move so far back. Nothing should have such a lack of risk for the amount of fire power it dishes out.
Forge guns are powerful, but offset by the lack of movement speed of the suit and charge up time. Railgun tanks can spam shots, flee and recall all in a matter of seconds.
Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against a tank withdrawing to the red line if it's been in the center of a fire fight just the ones that never leave the safety net it creates. |

Edit: Besides rail gun ranges is already nerfed because I can see more that a few hundred meters. Half the time I can't even see the projectiles hitting me so I can even mount a defense other than to leave and try to find the invisible people shooting at me.
Cost and risk. Sure a tank might cost millions but it's offset by the total lack of risk of that play style. All they really have to worry about is the bored squad leader and his orbital. |

Forge Guns don't need a nerf and won't get one. They need to be more obvious on the map when someone is charging one. Draw distance already sucks but not being able to tell where the shot is coming from isn't fair for anyone on the business end. |

We already can't see targets beyond 300m. Why don't you htfu and make friends with what few tankers we have left, you weak scrub.
Maybe if tanks didn't suck, you would see less rail snipers but it is the only way to keep a tank 7 consecutive matches. |

Let me first say that railguns on tanks are bigger, have access to a much more advanced power supply, cost more, and happen to be on a TANK. Small railguns are about the size of a forge gun. Why the difference between the two? Aren't forge gun supposed to be small railguns? Last big point. Tanks shake when a railgun fires. Tanks are heavy. If your forge gun does damage comparable to a large railgun, shouldn't you be knocked back a hell of alot when you fire? It ought to look like the midget shotgunners in borderlands. |

The forge gun has a clear advantage of having no range limit and the ability to hide almost anywhere. It is very frustrating to loose a tank to something a tenth of the size clear across the map and almost invisable in a matter of only a few shots while trying to find cover.Not to mention the size difference, a tank is much easier to hit. The rail tanker often has to resort to hiding behind the red line in order not to loose a one to two million dollar investment because of a forge gun. My point is:
The ishukone forge gun costs 47,220 isk and does 1663.2 Damage The prototype compressed Rail gun varient costs 927,560 isk and does 1798.7 damage without a proficency skill to boost that number. I don't want to seem negative but that doesnt seem fair at all. |

Just wanna say during the CPM AMA redline tanking was discussed. Something is being worked on. I don't care how much your tank costs. Sitting on a hilltop and falling back anytime something does any damage to you makes you bad in my eyes. Don't use what you can't lose. If tanks are bad, don't use them. Redline tankers are worse than redline Heavy snipers which are worse than LLAVers. I can't wait for there to be a fix implemented so these bums can cry even harder. |

It isnt to fair to let railgun tanks snipe behind the "red line" where they are out of the AV gun range. Get an OB and drop it on it? Wont work if the driver is smart
I do say it is a cannon and SHOULD have more range but a rail tank shouldn't be allowed to shoot in the far far back of the red zone.

Exactly. As a dropship pilot, this is the exact problem I have with forge guns. Not the range not the damage just the visibility. |
