I got slaughtered by one tonight, and it made me happy.
I've maintained from day one that they have the greatest potential for improvement of any weapon in the game.
A standard laser rifle on a proto Amarr assault is twice as effective as a Viziam on another suit. These babies just need someone who knows how to treat 'em right. |

Well I actually overheat the viziam when rageshooting at heavies n.n |

Yep.
Can't say the laser rifle is effective against them anymore. Pretty easy to keep the beam trained on them, but I end up overheating trying to take down the tough ones.
Perhaps my accuracy is just bad. Maybe the dot sight we're getting will make melting the heads that much easier.
If not, then an OH SO SLIGHT increase to damage. Like just a tiny smidge more damage would help.
Unless, it's considered a good thing the lasers can't put heavies down quickly. |

Maybe to give the viziam more of a different feel to the other laser rifles is to give the viziam the sight of the old laser rifle(sight from the old build), im pretty sure the laser users would love that and give them more of a reason to spec into the viziam. |

The Elm alway works great, The problem is the effective range of damage, you can tanke more damage at 130m from an AR via stray hits, while the lazers deal almost zero damage.
I have been using lazers, I think they still work, range is my only issue. |

i never used the wep with much success but i have a lot of respec for those that do
prenerf laser was scary we need some of it's old power back. i assume the laser as is needs some sort of buff since it's so rarely seen now. it was one weapon that would pwn an MD when in it's optimal range, the MD rounds being too slow compared to the speed of light laser and the MDer is often stationary when transfixing on a target at range giving the laser an easy kill. |
