Lasers are fickle mistresses, only by treating them right, and listening to hours of their terribly sappy stories can you finally get access to their sweet sweet secrets.

I find I drop people pretty fast like that, but having to shoot the laser at a wall before i step out to fire at someone is ********.. they should add a proto type variant that preheats to 50% when its in hand,. I can only entirely disagree with your philosophy about how to use a laser rifle.... but your method means you fire longer and reload less. The way I use the laser means I fire less, do more damage, and reload more. is there a way to preheat the laser w/o firing it? No but you can swipe through enemies once the charge reaches its peak, you sacrifice long charge times for quicker kills and the chance to swipe through weakened enemies.

The Laser Rifle does more damage the longer you hold it, it has nothing at all to do with heat build up which is a side effect. All you people keeping your laser rifles at 50% heat build up are just making life harder for yourself.
