so currently the Skill cap is set to 190,400 skill points per week. 5 SP are earned for every second in the game, along with 1 sp per wp earned.
so without any boosters and hitting the cap you will earn
358400 a week. Not bad, but not great. You can earn more, via the one sp per wp method up to 1000.
With a passive only and no active you will earn 442400 thats pretty decent.
With an active only and no passive you will earn. 453600 barely any more for actually playing.
With both an active and passive booster activated you earn 537600 Sp a week.
These are all very low amounts of skillpoints. We need to remove the skill cap so that you always have a reason to play.
Some advantages would be.
New players could grind their way up if they wanted too.
You have a reason to play sense you're not capped out.
The cap being removed will open up more variety in gear, because people can easily get more SP.
But there is a problem with this. It would make it to easy to get everything you wanted. This is why i believe we should reduce the active sp we gain, of course keep passive the same. I say cut active SP in half. So lets say you get 1000 wp in a game, you only get 500 sp for that amount of WP. This would be a fair tradeoff in my opinion.

Lets say most people get on average 6K SP in a skirmish match, and they usually last 15 minutes so in a 24 hour period thats 576K SP a day. To max all your skills it takes about 246M SP, so that means it would take 1 year, 2 months, 15 days to max out a character if there was no SP cap.
No one plays 24 hours a day. |

Maken Tosch wrote:Not gonna happen. The whole community (me included) complained about the 500 SP soft cap being too small for the amount of effort put in per match. how about 5 sp a second in a match, plus 3 sp per wp. If i had a really good game that lasted 8 minutes where i got 1500 wp
That would equal 6900 a match. |

I still play when i hit the cap, but it doesn't feel as fulfilling. I know a lot of other people think that way too.
I know i would rather be able to play as much as i want for low SP gain, then to only get a set limit. |
