Amusingly enough, I never specifically stated that players should skill into and only into the plasma cannon. What players pick for their weapon, and what they want to skill into is their choice. I want to see a currently useless weapon, useful. It's a very rare sight to see the plasma cannon on the field, and a rarer sight to see one actually used properly. If it's used at all, it's used as an anti-infantry weapon.

However, it's posts like these that makes me question why do we even have a Feedback / Request forum. If we can't provide constructive feedback and gather constructive feedback from our fellow community members, how can we expect CCP to create a better game? If anything, this sort of comment discourages people from even bothering with giving feedback.

I suppose the question is, Midas, do you want a better game? If yes... then start posting constructively in these sort of threads. Or don't post at all if you're going to attempt to troll. This isn't the War Room or Locker Room.

The reason I make such a ridiculous overstatement is twofold:

One, your post isn't constructive in the first place. "I beleive this weapon is useless and therefore that is the general concensus" is not accurate at all.

Two, I'm not trolling (hurrdurrLELELE), I'm providing some sort of break that you can giggle at so I don't have to just come out and tell you directly that you and your ideas aren't in the slightest bit intelligent or helpful.

I don't want a "better game". I have fun. The game has room for improvement so everyone else can have as much fun as I do. The game isn't going to get better through buffs and nerfs, and you know that.

The only thing the Plasma Cannon could use is more damage, and honestly not really. I currently use my Plasma Cannon with AV gear, and it works just fine. It rewards a high skill and a lot of patience. That is what every weapon should do.

My feedback: you think you know a lot about this game, but all you want is your hand held. You should try Halo.
My request: if you're going to respond to criticism by calling me a troll, you should be posting in the Locker Room.

EDIT: Oh, and I am holding the rest of the members of your corporation/alliance fully responsible for possibly the best ad hominem I have ever recieved. The fact that you put a disclaimer means that you intended to back up your opinion by directly involving the full weight of Dust University.

First, excuse my narrow-mindedness. I should have researched more into the Plasma Cannon than sitting and thinking that four or so hours of game-play made me an instant expert. I could have approached this topic with more tact than I've shown in my original post. I latched onto an idea that I thought was clever, and ran to the wolves with it.

Secondly, I went back and re-read your earlier post. Clearly, your post wasn't an attempt at trolling. However, from my perspective the way you started the post struck me as hostile / trolling. I would personally like to apologize for making such an ill statement.

Never-the-less, Midas, you are correct. Prior to me calling it a night (before both of these posts) I was running with my Plasma Cannon AV fit. I agree... the weapon doesn't need any changes to it. Even at the standard level with enough timing and patience you can cause enough damage to destroy or harass enemy vehicles. In my previous run with the Plasma Cannon, I was unable to hit vehicles with the Plasma Cannon. Because I wasn't use to the feeling of the weapon. In my recent run, I managed to chase off a standard Gunnilogi, destroyed a couple of LAV's, and forced a dropship to leave the area. This being a standard Plasma Cannon on a militia fit without added modifiers.

I will personally admit that I do not know much about this game. My experience with DUST has been a brief six months thus far. I, by no means, want my hand held. I would rather be knocked down countless of times if it means learning something. After all... this is New Eden, correct? No one hand holds here.
