What thing could CCP add that would increase average player count by several thousand?
I think: MTACs or Fighters.

You're saying CCP has only grinding to offer? No fun in the game? |

content =/= gameplay I think.
Sort of evades the question. Get the point but they're already working on that and I'm not sure how much better you can expect it to get. |

It will probably be the safest place for newbies to learn how to play the game and still make progress.
But even that probably won't be enough. That's a pretty big under taking. |

So, Most people here believe core mechanics need fixed and are the only way to gain/keep players. ~This may be true. It was not the question, but it may still be true.
The question was was meant to have a less obvious answer. Basically I was asking other than fixing the actual game, what new element would entice more players interests.
PVE may be the most common answer to the actual question of this thread, however I'm not sure that could be described as a single piece of content. I was thinking much smaller (realistically possible within a small timeframe) things.
a map, a game mode, a suit, a vehicle, a few modules,
PVE requires maps, models, AI, networking, LOTS of consideration in game design / balance. hugely important economic impact decisions, animations ?, storylines, etc etc. |

PVE will probably save this game because of the chance to actually enjoy this game and not get pub stomped to the point of deleting this game from their console.
im bored of PVP, PE would give me the chance to finally let lose and relax during gameplay by allowing me to explore and interact with things I normally couldn't.. PVE is probably the best chance we have right now
What would PVE look like to you?
Some level on Star Fox where drones just keep flying in and you have to fend them off for a time till the boss comes?
The maps are not really conducive to dungeon type PVE if I'm correct. Maybe all the drones spawned in a city, clones in another and they keep coming at them or something? I really can't imagine how it would work on certain maps like that manus peak - the one that used to be laser heaven with the craigs coming out of the ground. |
