I use the GEK and Duvolle quite effectively on my Amarr Scouts. The only time I really start to run into problems is when I run into heavy frames that have a TON of armor stacked on them, other than that, the AR still shreds suits quite nicely.

I consider the Amarr Scout as a spec ops suit really -- it's a hybrid of scout and assault.

My main also loves the Ion Pistols, I've noticed though that no matter how long you hold the charge, even a fraction of a second, the IP will still overheat.
