....Amarr Scout?
There are no bonuses for it when it comes to range, dampening, or precision, so in the end it comes across that the best way to fit an an Amarr Scout is to stack extenders and plates, slap some decent weapons on it, and use it almost like a "special forces" assault suit.

I'll allow it. The Amarr scout is a light assault when you look at the stats.

I'm pretty sure Amarr don't have a Scout suit.
There's a Light Assault suit with a cloak fitting bonus and an extra equipment slot. Is that what you're thinking of?
Yeah, tank that up all you want. It's not a bad suit to stealth-tank, but I don't think that was the intended role. |

Yep, it is an insanely underpowered bonus.

I consider the Amarr Scout as a spec ops suit really -- it's a hybrid of scout and assault.

What's all this talk of "light assault"? Don't we already have one of those, ie, the Minnie assault suit?

Recently I was looking to create a main battle fitting based on any advanced suit that fulfills the following criteria: - More than 700 hp total - Faster than 7 m/s sprinting - Carries an advanced rifle - Sidearm optional - If armor based, needs compact nanohive(s) - Scan profile below 36 dB (the scan precision of a non-Caldari scout with scan precision V)
After some tough thinking I arrived at a brick tanked Amarr Scout A/1. With the prevalence of hostile scouts it's a really good main battle suit.
P.S.: I still think a G/1 Scout would be better at that role because it has free reps, is faster and has more PG, but it doesn't have a battleskirt. |

I did it with a Pro Amarr Scout...a scout A/1 would be pretty gimped to try and meet those requirements he listed.
2x Complex Shield Extenders
Duvolle Assault Rifle SR-25 Bolt Pistol
1x ARN-17 Cloak Field 1x Compact Nanohive
Flux Grenade
2x Complex Plates 1x Enhanced Kinetic Catalyzer 1x Complex Armor Repairer
Comes out to be ~730 eHP and 8 something sprint speed.

Yep, better than a standard assault suit. The overheat on a scram or laser weapon is the only drawback and that isn't that bad. I just pulled out a mil amarr light with no cloak and got twice the kills.

That's just it, the Amarr Scout and its better slot layout and high base armor value has pretty much made the Amarr Assault useless. The only thing the Amarr Assault has got going for it is the built in heat sink bonus.
