yeah this feature has been out for a while. if it doesn't work in the corp channel try making a new channel ment only for dust and eve communications. I think back in April I was on my eve account talking to guys in my corp giving orbital support

well the flux grenade cuts out the shields so it could be an added effect that it immobilizes vehicles as well as slow down drop suits and lowers the damage dealt from normal melee.
