I plead for gore! Heads, and limbs off, torsos in half. Sometimes when I snipe, the person I shot dead disappears? Sometimes they drop in place and I love it! |

There use to be an animation where corpses were slowly eaten away by nanites, but they took it away for some reason. I think gore would make sense in any other game, but the nanites destroy the bodies so enemies can't scavenge corpses. I hope they bring back that nanite decomposition animation, was good for verisimilitude. |

Oh, makes sense then. I think I remember when a yellow glow will make them disappear. I wish we can scavenge off dead mercs. |

Thinking much, much farther down the development pipeline. I wonder how feasible it would be to create Nanite clouds of clones recently 'vaporized' by heavy artillery rounds or explosives. Tech demos on the PS4 appear to show high-level gpu particle capabilities.

well maybe some amount of blood, would be funny to have a blood splatter on the front of my murder taxi... but everything would eventually disappear due to the nanites. but yes please bring back the nanites that destroys the clones. maybe add a ploom of dust when they are done, seem much more realistic. |

Gore would be nice, not sure it will happen, since CCP is trying to maximize audience.... that said it's also the least our issues :).
But I do agree, I like more blood and ideally more realistic body cavitation, wounds, etc... |

I'd prefer some dropsuit damage as opposed to actual gore. Seeing bits and pieces fly off the suit when they get hit hard wnough would be cool, or a flaming hole open up in the suit where it got hit with a scrambler |

If not gore, then I would agree with Talos Alomar. Some damage that will make us appreciate the power of our weapons. Someone was healing me and then he evaporated from a forge gun shot! That was amazing. Our Armor will be tattered and with armor repairer it will slowly look like new. |

Gore isnt that important but like others said animations.
Ragdoll animation from explosions or powerful weapons like Sniper and Forge.
Assassination animations for Nova Knife kills
Obviously all of this after the big issues are squared away. |

I don't think I've done that, although I've shot people countless of times as they jump in vain to avoid my rounds.
Hey, I remember we had a sniper shoot out once, and you won. I was waiting for you to peek your head, you got me first. I was mad. My respawn was in my favor and I was able to take you out, you had only armor left because you were fighting assault people. I killed you in 2 shots. I was like, "I have to get him!" I'm not proud of it, but I did it. |

The game does have a small amount of blood on the final killshot, actually. Small, but noticeable.
What some of the others in this thread have said is very important. Too high a level of violence will only cause this game to be restricted in certain countries, which is bad for all of us.
Honestly, I've never really seen a need for gore from an "immersion" perspective. |

they do need better death sequences though. although i was standing behind a hill and a blue dot ran to the top then an LAV came flying over the other side and hit him. the LAV flew a good 30m and the guys body flew even farther then that in a ragdoll affect... it was great. |

Now, nanites eating the body wouldn't really stop any sort of gore implementation from occurring. The nanite can probably find all of the body and "eat" it, even if it was blown into bits by a locus grenade. Anyways, it would definitely make sniping more enjoyable... and mass drivers.

Just a few things to add,
1. we have no blood, none at all. We have a solution of nanites flowing thru our system.
2. We have been heavily modified, some bones are metal other are reenforced, all soft tissue is stronger than normal.
3. just because we have been killed dose not mean all of our armor is destroyed
4. some weapons are more lickly to cause internal injuries not rip and tare (plasma being one)
5. Gore is silly and is use to much in pop-culture today, a slasher film is not a good horror film ( saw is bad and psycho/jaws is great) |

I really like this idea lol...
Seeing someone get shot in the face by a small missile turret or headshot by a sniper explode into a cloud of dust would be hilarious. also it would be nice just to have some kind of animation other than disappearing. i dont really care what the animation is but i think that there needs to be something other than just disappearing.
Maybe pieces of armor? or maybe no blood but have body parts? |
