I don't think adding a third HP type would be "rewriting" the game, just adding some extra code. It wouldn't interact with damage any differently, it would just be separate partition of HP.

Z pinky, X ring, C middle. With my middle finder on W though, I can't hit X with either my ring finger or my index finger, I have to shift my whole hand. Hitting it with my thumb is just awkward as well and still throws me off.
