I fought a Knifer today. I turned around in a hallway and saw another Scout running at me like a madman with his knives. One quick Shotgun blast took him out, but he really was ninja-like in the way he snuck up on me.

I'm running a Minmatar Light, with Shotgun of course. On these wide open-spaced hilly maps it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to do well. I can't go up a hill at all because I keep getting snagged and gunned down by AR fire.

From what I've seen, the Plasma Cannon looks like it'll be a Mass Driver / Swarm Launcher hybrid. Just wondering before I spec into this, as I don't want to be stuck being purely AV. But from the looks of it in video demonstrations it can do both ...

Right now, it's crazy. No way in hell will I be able to afford speccing into Assault and still being decent with the Plasma Cannon and other things I'll need. Have they said anything about reducing the cost to specialize?
