I like domination. Grant it, you got teams that seem to not care about the fight. That's when I leave. I'm mostly a domination player. I enjoy its push/pull atmosphere...even when my team is losing.

Two sides to the story. For one, uplinks are bad because enemies usually camp or just obliterate any blues who spawn on uplink. On the other hand, that uplink is needed because smart deploy can be a pain and/or you might need to get the whole team...

I don't encourage my guys to protostomp. Hell, my corpmates are pretty good without using proto gear, relying on ADV fits to do the job. The only times I experience this protostomping is when I play Ambush. It's a jungle out there.
