I enjoy using my ADV and Prototype fittings in equal parts.
Since I am the one who is making use of in game currencies to purchase my content at 1.5-2 x the value of your content which you have equal access to I feel I am very much so justified in doing so.
I typically don't really like public matches, but in FW I will spam proto till the cows come home if it means the Imperial Guard attain a victory, and as that is my main focus in dust and area of competitive play I will assign any and all resources available to me to win.
Much like I would in EVE.
Proto just makes you tougher, not invincible, and I put in 12 months now to be able to make use of that high level content. As such I shall use it in the name of the Amarr Empire!

I do just fine in my ADV gear. The only time I really bring out the Prototype gear is, When I have to have better Rep Tools, Injectors and Hives.
You shouldn't complain about Proto-stomping. Its something that will never change. You will have to figure out ways around it like we have.
If you feel like you are being stomped out, You are obliged & open to freely do whatever you think is necessary to put a cap on your death count/suits.

In New Eden just as making sure you have the advantage in any encounter you get into eg using proto in pub games, the opposite is also true .. don't get involved in a fight where you are at a disadvantage .. honestly new players staying in the redline not padding other peoples KD/R is a smart move
If CCP continue to do nothing all that will happen is people like you will be wandering around with no one to kill as everyone else sits in the redline .. is that what you want ?
There HAS to be a gamemode that allows new and intermediate players to fight and get used to the game without being stomped constantly .. games primarily have to be fun and constantly being stomped isn't fun ..
I do perfectly fine in ADV and STD gear because my core skills are nearly maxed and let me assure you it takes more skill going 35-2 in an ADV suit solo than it does to go 30-0 in a proto suit in a proto squad .. the best players in this game don;t need proto to do well and if your having to use it to do well against randoms on the enemy team in starter corps using mlt/std gear then you my friend suck
I've played you countless times and .. you aren;t nearly as good as you think you are, their are alot of good players in FA and you certainly aren;t 1 of them
I'm not saying i'm particularly good either but I'm not the one telling others to 'git gud' .. if Arkena Zatara Jenova Knight were telling people to 'git gud' then I'd respond with .. it takes time and experience to get to your level but when you say it I just think its laughable ..
TL;DR All I want is 1 gamemode which is fun and balanced .. redlining the enemy in under 1 minute or being redlined/tank spammed into your own redline after 1 minute is boring .. I'm tired of being the only person on my team or being in the only squad on the team actually trying .. it is happening way too often and the whole .. telling people to get good and not give up is NOT going to solve anything |

PC and FW are 2 gamemodes were protostomping is fine .. the games mean something but including pubgames into the equation as well is TOO MUCH .. 1 gamemode with gear restrictions/sp restrictions would massively benefit new players and if you want to protostomp or fight proto then you can do PC/FW ...
It all comes down to choice and is why PVE is needed desperately .. you can't expect new players to spend 3 months + being stomped and stickign with the game .. it isn't any fun and they wont stick around .. this game would be alot bigger with a much larger playerbase if it had PVE/a gamemode with restrictions to ease new players into the game eg high sec modes .. throwing them into low sec with vets its stupid |

You'll just complain about advanced. Here is a tip, it probably isn't the suit you are losing to. They may be wearing a proto suit or using a proto weapon but if you equalized all the gear in a match they would still win because they are better.

The only way to fix it is to have a fitted suit with the entire fit's meta numbers added together. This total meta would be used to determine what battles you can go in. Have the sec stat define what the total meta is and restrict fits to that number or lower. This would create training grounds and noob havens. This is the only way to stop noob stomping. At least then the gear would be more on equal level with each other. Like this, it is a long read but if you look at the numbers it would work and it would give us a more of a sandbox feel by letting us choose -somewhat- where we go and whom we fight.

People if U think that only STD/ADV game mode will help fresh players U miss understand something. Core skills! I will say it again loud and clear: CORE SKILLS.
New terminology will come: ADVStomp
That game mode will be successful only if something like proficiency and core skills will both be disabled.
Now I'm in work. Will compare STD caldari assault with 2 different accounts. This one with almost full core skills up and other without them.
Better way will be PVE but only salvage from it should be ISK and sometimes gear (never officer)

This **** is not just affecting new players, and the lack of effort on CCP's part in fixing it, and the lack of giving a **** from older players is appalling to me.
Usually giving the dev team **** is something i'd say to avoid, but this topic needs to be fixed.
Perhaps if everybody gives them enough ****, they will realize that this is a serious problem that needs fixing. Way too many people have quit DUST beofre they even got to the good part. Not because They suck, but because this game statistically imbalances new and old. Old plays can survive 3 times longer then the new guys because of it, and nobody new is playing because of it. Shooters don't thrive off of statistical imbalances favoring the older players. They Die. Everybody knows this. Thats why the grand shooter franchises, DON'T HAVE THE WEAPONS GET BETTER AS YOU TIER UP.
However, in DUST, they do. So if you came from another shooter, expecting something similar with skills improving your character a little, and then saw a protosuit with 3 times your health, What would you do?
Swoon over the months of getting stomped like a little daisy until you could use that gear?
NO. NOBODY DOES. Thats why you see DUST peak STILL be only 4k. No amount of Tanks, or Dropsuits, or Rifles, or Pistols will overcome that! It doesn't help that DUST is rather badly optimized, but ****, even if it gets optimized to run 60 frames per second at 1080, not a single new player will come if they only get stomped, and stomped, and stomped.
DUST is living proof of that.

Not only do they pub stomp, they forum stomp too!
Although, what they say is true. Don't get mad, get even. Try out gear and play styles with militia, then choose one weapon and suit to adv. Focus sp in core skills. Don't get a bunch of crap that doesn't work, quality over quantity.
When I run my Adv Amarr ScR dual tanked with active spammer, I charge shot proto suits with ease. Although, I have been using a bpo fit to increase the difficulty.

umm I was wondering were I said I was QQing? I don't care if im getting stomped into dust im still charging into battle to try again (thou I seem to be the only one still out there a lot of the time)
but even when I run my full adv suits and flank them to shoot them in the back I still get stomped |

I don't encourage my guys to protostomp. Hell, my corpmates are pretty good without using proto gear, relying on ADV fits to do the job. The only times I experience this protostomping is when I play Ambush. It's a jungle out there.
