I would recommend "Immortal Guides" or "DUST University".
They help and teach new players. I'm in Immortal Guides and is great. They share their knowledge and help you when in a Squad with them.
Also they have 0% tax |

The Defenders are looking for ACTIVE Mercs of all experience levels who are looking for regular squadmates and a sense of community. We are a group of gamers who promote and enjoy a positive gaming experience. Even though we are proud of our accomplishments as far as Kills and WP on the corporate and monthly leaderboards, we are not concerned with K/D stats. We would rather focus on a team dynamics instead of promoting a super star super "slayer" attitude within our ranks. At this point in the game, we do live by the "Adapt or Die" motto because simply put..Adapting is THE only choice in New Eden. I offer weekly training sessions for those who would like to learn a few tricks or just the main concepts of Merc-ing. We require a DRAMA FREE environment for our members as well as other simple regulations having to do with severity of profanity as we have female, young, and parental members. Mics are not required as long as you can listen and follow squad commands. Those with Mics are asked to be reasonable and disciplined so that commands can take place. Even though we are very ambitious and have several visionaries, PC is not worth our time at the moment but we are training in PFC with our EVE Side alliance so that we may be ready to invade or conquer for the Day CCP fixes Planetary Conquest. We are good friends with 703rd, Noran Clad, and NCM and squad up with their members often. If you are looking for a leadership role, our current goal is to create specialized divisions for: Vehicle, Snipers, Logi, Heavy, and EU players.
We are determined to make a name for ourselves in Dust and invite you to be part of that Journey.

Yes it would be worth it to join a active Corp but please keep in mind, I do strongly advocate before Joining "ANY" Corp, You play witha few guys from that Corp first for a few games before making a choice. Need to make sure these guys at the very least speak the or communicate with the same language as well as make sure you get along with the core group of guys that make up that Corp. The MAIN reason for this is to do yoruself and that corp a favor and make sure No BS or Drama arises. NOBODY deserves that. AFter the corp of choice suits your fancy and you all get along, by all means join them. |

I made my own Corp simply to stop illiterate spam mail asking me to join something called Band Of Doods or something equally obnoxious.
Now that I am in my own corp I am not pesterred by basement dwelling fourteen year olds who can't spell or even use the English language to any acceptable level.

Don't join Dust University they are not very good at training as they use 2 be. My Corp. trains people but my internet is terrible so You would have to train with other instructors. If you have any questions join our chat channel anc. legion.

If you've got a good (sick and/or twisted counts) sense of humor then you would fit in very well with the Dragon Empire. Both casual and hardcore players welcome (the hardcore will be called upon for PC).
I do have one question though; What class are you? (I'm just curious)

the Learning Coalition chat channel always accepts new players and is happy to answer any questions you have. They even have mentors of you want to get some insight into a specific role. They have many players from many different corps and timezones so you're sure to get some help there.
While I strongly advocate joining a corp, I'd not be so quick to attach. Joining any learning chat group is an easy way to get help and tips without that commitment, but some corps are even willing to take in newberries and fund them if they prove they're really dedicated and want to learn.
If you are timid about dedicating just yet, try this. Join your normal battles solo. Jump into the most full squad in game. Some will be douches and kick you, ignore them. Most will actually let you tag along for the game. If you don't jive well, leave squad at the end of the match. But if you find that one squad that you really gel with, tell them gg and mention how fun it was to run with them and if they have a chat channel you can join to squad with them again. Use that channel to see what the group is like. Are they fun? Are they helpful? Are they on regularly and you gravitating towards a certain group (common corp)? You'll see where you belong and start to really have fun. If they don't ask you to apply, just try and apply yourself and see what happens. The worst they can say is no and you can keep the search up. But in the meantime, at least you have dudes to squad with and not get pwned solo all the time.

Joining a corporation is great for a mercenary. You always have friends to squad with and if that corporation has an alliance, you have even more players to squad with. You can learn invaluable tips. Some corps help fund their merc's skillbook purchases. Why fight alone when you can have corpmates who will watch your six in battle? Check out your options and see what corporation is a good fit for you.

There are plenty of Corps in the game BTW. If you don't happen to enjoy your newfound comrades then find a new corp. This game is a social game at its heart. If you don't find a group to play with -you will find a new game. Or find yourself in the ranks of the bitter vets.
