I would like this thread to focus on discussions on how to make the plasma cannon a better weapon. It needs some tweaks really, not a complete overhaul. The area denial DOT weapon could be something else.

Well, PRO is not un-useable, thats my definition of pathetic. But I get what you mean: The scaling from STD to PRO is pathetic :-) Especially when the direct dmg to blast damage ratio and blast radius is not changed (it does change for MD).
