it's worse when a scout with a shotgun runs right on top of remote explosives when they go off (keep in mind these 1-shot heavies) and they take no damage, then kill you in your face.

Pair scrambler pistols with it- once someone is too close for the rifle, they're in perfect range for the pistol (unless you have no skills, or put no SP into scramblers)
