How are these? I just got one from salvage and got the skills for it (including sidearm sharpshooter IV), but I never tried it out yet, since I only have 15 and it isn't on the market.
I was thinking this might be a good thing to use since it says it has increased range and accuracy, despite reduced damage (damage is still about the same as the pistol I usually use)
Can anyone who used one a few times tell me how they are? |

It's not as good as the advanced pistols you buy on the market, but it's close. Not looking in game at the moment, but IIRC the only thing is it has one less round in the clip than the TT-whatever it is assault pistol. But I believe the tac pistol is also easier to fit.
Like Icy said they're good, but not amazing. I've got 90 or so of them and I use them from time to time. Until I bust out Wolfman's Badass Mother 3000 anyway. |

I can't really say without seeing your fit. Even though I get a lot of kills with my pistol (even have a few double pistol loadouts for the lulz) I always consider my sidearm last when fitting. If you can fit the tac but not the advanced assault you'd be better off with the Tac than the standard advanced. Same damage but a faster ROF, even with reduced clip size.
Basically, using the Tac wouldn't be bad or good by itself. It probably would not be worth sacrificing something else to use it, but if you can fit the thing it works better than other pistols with similar PG/CPU. Ultimately up to you, but in my experience it's a good gun and I'd run in to a firefight with it any day.
