I don't have a problem with the default being the new iron sights but are you planning to add in purchasable scopes (i.e. the old ones) for assault rifles and if not could you consider this please?

Well the weapons are high slots so no I meant a mid (shield) slot Skinweave heavy still had 2 mids up until codex, militia heavy went down to 1 mid some time before that and there was nothing in the patch notes so it's fair to assume its a bug
