Min scout + Combat rifle + nova knives + flux grenade + remotes + cloak is best combo Everything dies, including vehicles except dropships. Also Heavy with a forge gun and SMG/magsec is next best, even over shotgun scouts.

God, that sounds horribly OP. Assaults in my opinion should switch more towards DPS but then there's an issue with commando suits. If we ever get an assault based equipment I think it should be more along the lines of a jump pack.
