Not really at the moment, the Heavy can still be downed by 1 assault gun. I can understand if CCP introduces bipod vehicles, but thats a doubt.

Trust me, you do not want to engage Bad Furry in a tank fight or turret fight. I've seen him multiple times pop enemy turrets and tank(including mine also) from his base spawn.

As of right now, official corporations are not implemented yet. Eventually player made corporation will recruit and such. There are currently clans that are recruiting however.
