I imagine it fluctuates quite a lot during the day; the East coast of America are in bed right now and Europe is at work... Numbers were pushing 6000 last night when I was on (UK).

Some sort of EMP grenade would be useful... Something that will disable vehicles for perhaps 10 to 15 seconds and equipment, both dropped (drop uplinks etc.) and handheld, for maybe 15 - 20 seconds.
