I don't think the problem is the swarm missiles. 1) The militia swarms do pretty nasty damage considering how easy they are to get. Highest tier dropships right now have around 4500-5000 eHP, enough for 4-5 volleys from a militia swarm launched ...

Two probably wouldn't work either. Dropships aren't really nimble enough to dodge anything. They don't work like fixed wing aircraft, they can only change direction by slowing down in their rcurrent direction. I'm hoping that removing the starter...

There are a couple warpoint mechanics that are pretty open to abuse when you think about it. Drop uplinks: friend spawns on it, suicides, respawns on it. Nanohives: Shoot, stand over hive, wait thirty seconds, shoot again, stand over hive again....

Depends on the weapon. AR, near as I can tell, does the same damage to shields and armor, but lasers to significantly more to shields than armor and the mass driver does just the opposite.

Target type is a consideration, too. For example, regardless of range every weapon has a 0% efficiency rating against the MCC. If you're using missiles you'll have a 70% efficiency rating against shields and a 130% rating against armor. An AR will...

Missiles in EVE are also guided. It seems pretty clear that DUST missiles aren't the same as EVE missiles, so there's no reasons they can't require cap. Missile launchers will probably end up seeing some kind of nerf eventually anyway since they'...

Dropships don't need a nerf, they need a complete change in role. It sucks that they're currently able to function as gunships, but if you make them unable to dodge swarms they won't be able to function as transports, either.
