Another cool idea rather then the "poor gameplay visual" of giant ships frog splashing the earth to get a kill.....Would be to give the pilot some sort of after burner boost the clears out the near landing zone of all foot-soldiers with a big blas...

I would suggest that the ships don't really need to hit the ground when they have a pilot only when they are unmanned....Cause if a ship has a pilot then its thrusters are on so it really shouldn't hit the ground. So a compromise fix would be to ...
