You get no salvage, but you get any SP and Isk you've accumulated up to that point. Your kills/deaths are counted in your stats, and you lose any equipment you've used so far that match.

Additionally, only corporations can be members of alliances. As a single character, you can't join an alliance without joining one of its member corporations, or having your current corporation join the alliance.

Very much +1. This is a big thing that's missing. Especially considering the current loading screens are painfully long, this would go a long way to making the dust experience smoother.
