Only the RoF nerf has been stated. There might have been the unintentional side effect of reducing the number of shots fireable before overheat, though, because IIRC heat buildup is based on per second usage rather than per shot.

I'm still irritated that it randomly overheats even if I don't try to charge the thing, even in semi-automatic operation. It's incredibly frustrating to be winning a fight and have your gun suddenly explode for no reason.
