Allright due to the new AUR price changes the cost exploded for new players. Well lets see what a fully fit Militia BPO suit costs (AUR-Gé¼) (assault fit) Dropsuit: 6.400 AUR Primary weapon: 11.800 AUR secondary weapon: 11.800 AUR grenades: 9800AUR equipment: 9.800AUR 3X modules : (4800X3= 14400 AUR) total: 64.000AUR
now lets take a look at the PSN store AUR packages to achieve 64.000AUR: 40.000 AUR= 19.99Gé¼ 20.000 AUR= 9.99Gé¼ 4.000 AUR= 1.99Gé¼ 64.000AUR= 31.97Gé¼
This price tag is just for 1 militia fully fit assault dropsuit. In some kinda way CCP payd us the closed beta testers out. Just think of it what we all got. A full set of skinweaves suit which is equal to the militia suits ( 25.600 AUR), the exile assault rifle (standard AR and probs worth of 35.400 AUR) and the opportunity to buy militia BPO's at a insane low price (20-30 AUR each piece). Alone the event items are worth of 61.000 AUR. The exile AR price is based of the price difference from the militia dropsuit BPO and the MAG tribute suits (multiplikator 3X) |

look at it this way... if you buy the BPOs to fit out infinite militia at that $32 rate - that's still less than buying a game that gives you those... what would a new copy of BF3 / CODxxx etc cost you on PSN/Boxed Retail ? |

If people are willing to pay for this then it at least provides CCP a nice revenue stream and will help support Dust into the future. Militia gear is so cheap in ISK that you could afford 100 dropsuits from a single game. Honestly, the only militia item I've been using recently is the nanohive, although I've changed to the standard in the last couple of days to give me enough CPU to use complex shield extenders. |

Bpo's aren't needed to play, handy but not needed. Although they do come in useful to use until you build up a healty amount of isk, I used bpo's until I hit 5 mil isk, when/if i get below 50,000 isk then I'll switch back to bpo's and repeat the process. |

Hey look. CCP is making this game free to play. Meaning they need a way to pay for production costs, advertisements, VOIP carriers, etc. Having a BPO of something is very valuable and I fully support CCP's decision in making BPOs so expensive. We don't HAVE to buy them. |

Can't please everyone though bro, if dust was monthly sub of $15 people would still be complaining that the sub is too much blah blah. I do agree with the bpo's but they could be a tad lower for the new players. I feel sorry for them I really do, they're going to get raped in those starter fits |

If you had to pay monthly I wouldn't be playing. Was happy to buy a bit of Aurum though. |

They said 1 cent would increase to 20 cents etc, or something along those lines. Current prices are not what was originally stated |

Can you justify $32 for a militia fit? I'm thinking of the new players here. I already have every bpo |

As someone who thankfully got everything at pennies. I have this to say. For that price I'd expect standard level at the least. Militia gear sucks, it should be 10$ tops for a fully fit single dropsuit. And even that's on the high end ad it would cost 60$ to get everything. Ccp people won't spend more than ten bucks for a whole suit |

Yes price have gone kinda out of control compared to the previously announced prices. but this was to be expected. 32 bucks for an 'eternal and skillless suit' is quite high... but nobody needs ALL of those BPO's .
Besides nobody forces them to buy them. ISK varients will do the trick just as good. Also it's kinda to the elder corp members to inform the newbs/anons that militia gear is NOT the way to go. Inform them to buy the isk variant and if they must spend AUR on something make them buy the type2 suits for 20.000 AUR.
Am I ok with the new prices; yes and no. No because they went kinda haywire with them. Yes because I did the smart thing... I stockpiled most of the items when they where still cheap, knowing this would happen.

I think the price change is just completely ********. It is amazing to think that they are not going to do another wipe, escpically since some people could have gotten a ton of those for like nothing. |

They could... yet they didn't. Price change was announced prior to the chance. Ok they kinda went overboard and made things around 20 times more expensive then announced, but he **** happens. If people simply kept themselves informed then they would have known to buy their stuff yesterday. I

I feel lucky I bought every single BPO (except for militia suits as I have skin weave) the day before price change. I saved myself a LOT of money. Finally it turns out closed beta testers get benefits like we've been requesting for ages XD |

You seem to be ignoring the option of using your starter fits effectively.
Dropsuit: 0 AUR Weapons: 11,800 AUR each. Most fittings will only need one weapon switched from the default. Grenades: 0 AUR Equipment: 9.800AUR Modules: 4,800 AUR per module. One purchased module will usually be all that's required to round out a Starter Fit.
Total: Anything from 0 AUR (if you're really lucky with not needing to change anything) up to 52,800 with a heavily-modified Logi suit. |
