I disagree. I think EoN is playing the game how it's supposed to be played. The only "good guys" in New Eden are NPCs. All the players are either Lawful Evil or Chaotic Evil. Everyone's looking out for his own hide, screwing everyone else. It's just that some are more of a lying cheat than others. If EoN wants to play the dishonorable scoundel, they're certainly welcome to. It was our mistake to unlock the district, but buying the district in the first place from EoN was a move that allowed us to test their honor to see if future diplomacy would be worthwhile.
But you're right to say doing business with EoN is a dumb move. People should know this by now. Chaotic Evil might make you rich quick, but eventually nobody will want to work with you. It's just another way to play the game.
The only thing that soured me about tonight was the fact that Synergy continued to attack our district when it was obvious that most of our guys were getting disconnected. But what can you expect? The first match started with two full teams, but soon we were outnumbered 8-14 due to disconnects. The second match I hear was just as bad, and the third one went well for the first half, then we had further disconnects. I wouldn't know, because I couldn't log onto the Dust servers at all tonight. Thanks CCP.
That being said, not all the corps in EoN are "chaotic evil". That's what makes it so interesting. I could make wagers on which corps will go where when the alliance finally splits. |

To be fair, most of our complaints are towards CCP or the game. Imagine how frustrated you would be if you had only one district, and while it was attacked, half of your guys disconnected and couldn't reconnect, but the other team was hardly affected. Then you're attacked again, while your guys still haven't been able to reconnect. And again.
Most of our guys are fuming right now, not at Synergy or Eon (heck we were having a good time teaming up with Outer Heaven a few times), but at how horribly unlucky we were that the game broke when it did.
You can laugh at us for using "ringers" if you want for having a squad from O.H., but this isn't a horse race. This is New Eden. It's how things are done. There's nothing wrong with diplomacy.

I'm glad we don't have terribles such as King Kobrah in our corp. He's an embarrassment to his teammates and it's folks like him that will be the downfall of his alliance. That's not to say the garbage he chews isn't entertaining... |

Hey I think I know why King Kobrah hates us so much. He probably joined reddit, and made an eyeroll post which he thought was witty. When he got downvoted into oblivion, he ran away butthurt swearing vengeance on all of reddit.
That's really the only explanation. Either that, or an old man dressed as the reddit alien touched him inappropriately.
I always sense a few tears whenever he's spewing his irrational and misplaced hatred. |

While we're there, DUST514 is a nonfactor in the game. What's the point of holding a district, anyway? We only wanted one to use as a training ground. Most of us come from eve, and we're not FPS veterans like you guys.
If there's one thing we're good at though, is the long game. EoN's been making a lot of really dumb rookie mistakes that would have gotten you toasted long ago in Eve. Things are already falling apartGÇöI mean EoN's left hand doesn't even know what the right hand is doing. They're attacking blues and breaching agreements. Should I mention all the burned spies? Nobody trusts you and everyone hates you. Best part is, nobody's even lifted a finger against you yet in the metagame.
I would laugh, but I'm not happy about it. There's lots of players and a few corps in EoN who are actually really swell and I'd really like to party with, but they're involved in an alliance that's only hurting them. |

Yeah, we got him to all but admit he belongs in a mental institution, and he also attacked several of his own comrades, since there are handfuls of redditors in EoN. Our work here is done.
