I am not impressed.
My 5 year old nephew can kill assault drop ships with a militia forge. Although there's no need, if he'd just wait 2 minutes a bloody RDV would spawn inside it and set the guy back 10 slow painful games. |

Thats why I reluctantly left the sky in the last available respec. I didn't like the odds of it changing anytime soon, and I still don't.
Well I guess you were right to assume CCP would take 1-2 years to fix or even band aid an obvious balance issue.

Try playing a match where forges actually shoot at you Do what N1ck said and forges will come out of the bloody woodwork to shoot you, most of e time people ignore the dropship, till it starts getting kills and being some what effective then half their bloody team switches to AV gear. Are you doing Oceania matches or something? everyone is always shooting at my dropship at the same time. From when i take of until they spam forge/tank/swarm/av kill me. Everyone knows its an easy target and they can **** off pilots by destroying their expensive equipment. With weapons that require no skill to use.

Been playing the game before the launch. I havent seen one buff to dropships.

I heard CPM are pushing for such a band-aid to happen BEFORE1.5.
It's just a little air dropped care package to keep us from starving before we're rescued hopefully later. |

I understand why CCP is hesitant to do it. Because of 1.5 however I am making the same arguments as you guys are, 1.5 is simply too long for most shooter players to wait for.
My argument would be along these lines.
If it was fine to be broken in an underpowered state for so long, then it's fine for 2 months of slightly less under powered. And if it was accidentally OP then I'll point to the flaylock, AR, old HMG, old tanks, etc and say what's the problem? It'll be the shortest lived of any of those and Dust is still around.
Of course I truly hope does not happen because of how they would crush us again after 1.5) |
