A gunner on my ADS once saved my dropship by acting as a meat shield to a forge gun shot, it turns out that splash damage still does noticeable damage to dropships, taking out a 10th of my shields.

It requires willing sacrifices and some lucky manuoevering on your part to appear.

I usually bullfight LAVs when I can, for the sport of it.

Only with proximity explosives in the way and AV grenades in hand.

It's kind of fun.

It's one of those once in a hundred matches kind of things, I don't expect to have it happen again for a long time, was funny at the time. As for the crashing, have you read skihids guide in the rookie grounds? It's in the "useful threads" sticky post, its a great read, helped me immensely when I first started, the rest is just a matter of practice.

I've shot the driver out of a full speed lav with a plasma cannon twice.

I've also shot the driver of an LAV moving at full speed while in the missile gunner seat of another LAV moving at full speed, and with both moving in opposite directions, passing about 20 meters apart.

On an unrelated note, last night I was standing behind some boxes, staring at a red LAV that was staring at me, waiting for me to make a run for it. We stared. 5 seconds passed, neither of us moved. I headshot him and hacked his LAV.
