That was the old beta paintjob back when the basic heavies had 100 base shields and 800 base armor, and a proto heavy rocked more then 1600 EHP. |

Meh...I am not a supporter of the fancy paint jobs. Call me tranquil, but if a heavy blasts me with an HMG, I'm looking for cover, not admiring his weapon. (well, maybe pre-uprising i would be running for cover). I guess it would feel cool to be playing with that weapon, only the barrels and a tiny bit of the body are visible when running the HMG. That's just me tho. I'll take my rusty ol' HMG any day. |

I would just chill in a spot and look at the gun for a few games. I want to be have some bling on my load out. Red eyes + that gun = looking good on the field. I just want some new heavy stuff  |

the HMG looks cool, the all black proto HMG is down right sexy... but really.... shouldnt it have a bit more duct tape on it? and if a grenade or other explosive hits it... shouldnt it explode into a shower of SMGs?

its the the sling mount, to ease the burden of carrying that beast around. if you notice, in all the third person skins of the heavy its right there atatched to the right shoulder |

no no no, that i know. i mean the black thing thing right under it, attached to the top of the HMG.
you can see it more clearly in this rendering. what ever it is, we dont use it. possibly a range finder or laser sight.

HMG is an auto cannon...
MH82=Mark 82 but futuristic. If the gun was labeled as a minigun rather than auto-cannon you would still be trying to defend your post.
You couldn't have been playing for as long as you've stated without knowing this is the same variant Heavies use minus the paint job. |
