Umm... most everyone who left PFBHz has been gone for over 2 months so why the QQing now? Of the ones that left I would say 25% straight up quit playing. The remaining players then went to Hellstorm, Internal Error, TeamPlayers, Outer.Heaven or made their own corp.

To be clear, I don't personally have a problem with such activity, but I know a lot of other corps consider this sort of thing to be sort of "bad form" and if they do it they try to do it relatively quietly. Team Player, OTOH, have no problem simply sending out mail to players saying basically "Your should quit your corp and join us instead." This means they end up with some inroads to failed corps that others don't have.
I can assure you neither me or any other directors have tried to "poach" players by mail. We do not recruit that way. |

They were only "OP" in the sense that nobody had specced into much AV at the time, so most tankers were driving around blasting people relatively unscathed. |

Darken-Sol wrote:whats a try hard?
Try Hard - by definition is a term used by a player who just got bested by another player who used the reasources at their disposal (either gear, skill, or some other in game source) to beat them. Something the beaten player sees as "trying too hard". Calling someone a "try hard" is an excuse, it is at its base the definition of "QQ".
The person calling another a "Try hard" usually thinks they are casting an insult, but in fact they themselves are the one who looks foolish and should be referred to as a "cry baby".
Something along those lines :) |

I suppose this may be the case when talking about frustrated tryhards who throw the term back and forth at one another, but it isn't really an accurate description of the real meaning of the term.
There's a clear delineation that generally makes a tryhard pretty easy to spot. It IS still meant to be a bit derogatory, but only in the sane way that someone might scoff at a "world champion monopoly player" or the "worlds biggest ball of yarn." To a casual player, a tryhard is simply someone who seems to be trying too hard compared to what the "average" person would deem a reasonable and healthy amount of effort for the results that can be expected. |

Also, CHICAGO isn't that good, he just plays a lot. But how they play, it usually centers off him, so he gets the credit for the teams hard work. What makes Team Players good is that they play as a TEAM... who'd a thunk it? Once in a while, you'll catch one of them in a pub running solo. They go 4-6 like everyone else, because they like to have fun overall.
What a silly thing to say. Chicago is an incredibly good player. He is the reason I decided to spec into heavies. Seeing him wreck in the matches I've been in with/against him inspired me. I hone my heavy playstyle and gun game after how I have seen him do it. I generally wreck my matches now and I owe a lot of that to my creepy stalking of Chicagocubs.
+1 to a great player. |

I remember I shitted my pants everytime I saw TeamPlayers in the match because I knew how deadly they are and with chicagocubs. But tje fun was that they were small and always remember chicago's logi IDK if it was Deluxe Edition. I said cubs can't be the best without that guy! lol But now all the former protostompers have all joined the corp, now I don't see them as the cool scary small corp that used to be. And Regnyum having your corp tag makes me wanna vomit. Like really?

I think it is basically what you describe. Someone who takes a video game way to seriously as if it means anything outside of the game. Their general mannerisms border on manic and obsessive.
