PVE (exploration). New module, CRU deployer. When the capsuleer finds certain sites, he can deploy a mercenary cru with a preset number of clones into the wreckage. This immediately creates a mercenary battle on dust 514.
Mercenaries entering the battle fight against AI drones of various types, hacking objectives as they fight their way deeper into the site. The drones all have bounties of varying amounts which is used to determine the payout to the mercenaries at the end of the exploration.
As each site is hacked, it releases goodies eve-side. The EVE player watches the progress and sends in various things as the mercs request them, (consumable items of the same name). So a merc requests a tank, he can deploy a tank to the merc if the pilot has a tank of the type requested in his cargo-hold.
Precision strikes may not be available, although shooting through the walls to open new areas may be a possibility. Perhaps precision drone strikes, or the pilot sending his drones to assist the mercenaries.
There are many, many cool sci-fi environments that could be used for this.
I want discussion about this. This suggestion was made so we could have far more eve-dust interaction. There would perhaps be hundreds of new merc battles on-going at any time with this system. |

That may be but I feel that CCP should have something like this on their road-map. I believe that the resource cost is worth it as it creates new content for the players to consume by deepening the relationship between eve and dust. |

why not just link up PI and Dust? this is the most logical solution. Sure it upsets the eve balance some but PI is not a primary aspect of eve, so it's excellent grounds for experimentation.
If you want to deploy PI on a planet - you gotta hire mercs to capture a district first; If you PI district is captured by hostile mercs, your production output drops and after a sertain time you start losing assets. |

This would be a fantastic thing to have. I fear for PvE though, when there hasn't been a word since fanfest. |

This sounds like something that would push corporations away from using the in game tools. |

PVP (Sabotage) Those mode takes place on a station or outpost. The mode begins with a limited cru deployed inside of the target corporation's office hangers. The infiltrators face off against a home-defense team of mercs as they attempt to hack and keep objectives. Holding objectives gives the cru deploying pilots who engage with the target corporation a 3% bonus per objective held (of five objectives) to their shield, armor and structure resistances for the duration of the battle, and only against the target corporation's weapons. |
