Why do we give all the work to a select few? When we are struggling to field a team why do we turn to the big names and allow them to have all the fun? There are a lot of talented mercs in New Eden that want a chance to fight in the glorious battles of Planetary Conquest! They just need a place to gather, a pool to be a part of. Give your members a chance to be part of the action!
Join the Independent Corporation Network (ICN)
The independent corps in New Eden has some stiff competition. We face huge conglomerations of some of the finest corporations in the universe. We have some limited options available to us though.
1.We can allow ourselves to be absorbed into these larger entities and lose our individuality and independence. 2. We can fight and die alone, always overwhelmed by their numbers, talent, and resources. 3.We can learn to work together and help each other succeed.
What I am proposing is not an alliance. No one will be in charge and each corporation has complete independence. There will not be any requirements other than your corporation is an independent corporation without any ties to an alliance. You can run your corporation any way you see fit.
SE7N has tried the alliance route and did not like the restrictions or regulations it brought with it. However it did bring a pool of allied Mercenaries that we could draw from when we were short people for our battles and squads. Now that we are independent we no longer have that valuable resource.
I have started a chat channel (ICN-1) to help independent corporations network together, fill squads, and prepare for battles. Your members will benefit from this service and so will your corporation. Basic business practices are to create contacts and network with other businesses to improve your own success. This channel is for organized groups that need to fill holes in their teams or to organize and make joint efforts in a campaign. Why should we allow the mega corporations and alliances dominate the field? Keep in mind though that it is not an alliance and this is not a cease fire agreement. We can network together and help each other out but that doesnGÇÖt mean we wonGÇÖt be facing each other in battle on the next contract. After all, ItGÇÖs just business.
Join the chat channel (ICN-1) today.

+1 and looking forward to seeing what comes of this. Great idea and you see one of the biggest upsides to an alliance. Players.
Thanks for the heads up on the eve side channel. I will have to get that arranged.

Not my intention at all. I am sure some mini informal alliances may be made but the post states that "its just business" :)

I don't want it to be seen as an alliance though. Just indies helping indies without any long term attachments. Ringers Inc is not limited to independent corporations so teamplayers and IE can still be the most used and sought after ringers. This is intended to get the less known and influential players a chance to shine. |

Ringers Inc is not limited to independent corporations so teamplayers and IE can still be the most used and sought after ringers. This is intended to get the less known and influential players a chance to shine. So if your indie corp is helping in another corp's PC battle defense or attack, how do you split the rewards? Your troops dropped ISK to defend their planet. Now they continue getting the profit from that planet. Do you get a cut? How much? Being in an alliance with rules and regulations comes in handy in those situations. It's worth a try but if compensation comes into the picture it might get complicated. And compensation should be discussed because PC is a major ISK sink for grunts and a fountain for corps that can hold districts. But the idea of a loose confederacy of independants operating on a handshake basis is very cool. If it could find its legs it would be a great addition to the community. Fairly big "if" though. Only one way to find out. Good luck.
Its business. If someone wants to ring for free then that's great. If they expect compensation then they will need to be upfront about it and the price negotiated before the battle. If the team loses the ringer is out nothing more than the gear he used in the battle. If they win he gets a cut of the match rewards and good standing in whoever he worked for. Anything else is entirely up to the individuals involved. Once the battle is over there are no more attachments between the two entities. |

We are in an alliance but it only contains 3dge of D4rkness Dust-side.
So we are an alliance of one corp, would that be an issue for you?
So you are an indie corp in an indie alliance...I guess that qualifies. No issue here. |
