we aren't bros, tankers hate LAVs almost as much as the infantry does, we have good reasons too......
Sorry void, have to disagree with you here, as having an real functioning LLAV can be a great asset to a tanker who has to do something risky. Their high mobility means they can bring a couple of infantry to push off tenacious AV teams, properly fitted they can help armor or shield tanks increase their effectiveness, and their road killing capability means they can smear those who might try to hide from my railgun.
Also, if equipped with a good blaster they also function very well in an anti-LAV role, targeting drivers and such.
If the driver of the LAV and the HAV can work together well, the LAV can be very tough to target, and the extra strength the HAV gets can be the difference in a fight. Also, if it is a Charybdis, it can even roll in front to eat a set of swarms if need be.
Sadly, because there are zero points given out for repping vehicles, most LLAV drivers will not use this potent role to its fullest, because it does not yield results.
Even guardian assists would make this combo a more consistent battlefield presence. |

Not sure I am following your comparison correctly.
Don't you drive Sica's? So wouldn't it be more of a Pz IV vs Panther comparison? |

In WW2 Shermans had a problem defeating 'any' panzer back then. The only reason why shermans won any tank fights then was sheer numbers and opportunity in use.
I feel my sica or soma is in a similar position I can bearly break the Gunlogi before they split my tank in half
It was my understanding that PZ IV's, especially pre- Ausf F2's were not vastly superiour to a Sherman save for their slightly lower profile and slightly better gun(post Ausf F2 only).
A Sherman was capable of penetrating a PZ IV, even Ausf. G's at decent ranges, and could even penetrate Panthers if a lower glacis shot was available. Beyond that, the Sherman was faster, arguably more reliable, and had faster turret traverse IIRC.
Shermans were capable versus Pz IV's, just not against Panthers and Tigers. |
