Today when I started up the game I got a notification saying "Connection to voice chat lost, reconnecting..."
I've restarted the game and the PS3 a few times but it keeps giving me the same message. |

Checking in that this happened to me today as well.
Actually, the voice connection dropped in mid-battle with some of my squad with everyone suddenly cutting out. I have tried the following: Restarted the Mic connection, Changing Voice channels, Restarting the PS3 (from cold, restarting client, and just logging out and logging back in), turning off and on voice enabled from the settings, and clapping my hands and believing. Nothing has seemed to work. |

Many of my corp mates are having the same thing happen, we have a PC battle tonight, i hope you can fix this fast. |

I've been dealing with this over the passed few days as well. Log on, first login of the day. "Connection to voice chat lost, Reconnecting..." I waited it out last night and it came back within 45 mins or so. |

Haven't logged on today to check, but all day yesterday and last night I had no voice comms. Played quite a bit, but it never reconnected to the voice server. |

I am having this bug as well. I can't connect to voice chat. I have reset the game, my PS3, my router, and STILL get the error. I too have a PC tonight and it would SUCK not being able to hear the leadership. |

It worked fine earlier on Saturday then when I logged in later in the evening it wasn't working. Logged in today around noon and it's still not working. One of my corpmates is having the same problem. Seems to be on CCP's end not ours.
Can we get a dev response? What's going on? Voice server on fire? What could it be? |

I've got the same issue...no voice coms for the last 2 days. I've posted about it in some of the other coms issue threads but they were mostly for Mic control issues and some other bad bugs. This thread is exactly what I've been running into along with several folks I play with.
I saw the Devs engaged on the other coms issue...anyone see them come up on the net about this one? |

Haven't seen any devs in here yet about the broken comms issue. Although that could be because its the weekend still. But I really hope there is a fix soon, I don't feel right burdening a squad with someone who can not communicate effectively and I dislike playing solo. |

I'm on day two of this crap.
Not to sound like a jerk or to rage, but this SHOULD NOT be an issue. ESPECIALLY not in a game in which teamwork is so freaking important. You give us squad chat, you give us team chat, you give us corp chat. But in NONE of these can I hear anyone talk, nor can I speak. So my ability to effectively play this game with my teammates is completely nonexistent.
I'm sorry, and I speak with the uttermost respect. But voice chat, of all things, should be the one thing I DON'T have to worry about failing. Never before have I had issues with a voice chat that doesn't work in any game - even DUST514. But the fact that this is happening should be a serious issue, and should be at the top of the priority list to fix. Because if player cannot communicate with their teammates in a team oriented game, why should they play?

The issue itself can be (When I say this, I mean only a matter of minutes) /resolved/ by deleting the cache of Dust514 in the save, I only encountered this issue today myself seeing as how I have not played in quite some time. I do however think the update itself has caused this issue, I cannot be sure of this knowing that I do not know when that last update was put into affect. For the record I am using a Hyperkin Bluetooth headset, It is not everyone that is encountering the issue so some of you may wish to edit their post and name their mic's brand, So tomorrow the devs may find the source quicker. |

I am using an EM228 mic... My joy of silence started last evening. It really is a pain for anyone who knows the game, and rwalizes teamwork is key. This is happening to everyone I know. 48 hours now, with no attempt to fix? This is just plain unacceptable. If this were to happen to your pay to play Eve MMO... or similar circumstances. I would bet you the problem would've been solved 12 hours ago. |

I lost voice chat today right after I purchased the Elite Pack. It may have been as soon as I logged on, but I did not notice it until after the activating one of the Passive Boosters from the pack. To top it off, when I try to edit or create new fittings the game freezes.
This is a very frustrating scenario, and thankfully I do not have any Corp battles tonight. |

I haven't had voice chat reliably working since Chromosome, though recently it has changed from just not working to having this "connection to voice chat lost...reconnecting" error, which I see as a positive step. Currently I can use EVE Voice but it takes a random number of attempts, can be anywhere between 3 and 30+ before it connects, and then tends to drop when Dust players enter matches (unless I am connected to two different channels).
It really hurts my ability to get into Dust as it is so difficult to set up voice that even when I'm squadded I usually have to basically run solo. It changed from having a bunch of blue dots to some blue and green dots, and I get more points for helping green dots...essentially. It also makes being part of PC virtually impossible. |

I have solved the issue for myself; Heres hoping it works for all of you also: Delete the Dust514 PS3 Save Data (This is the Game Settings Cache) Log-into Dust514 go to System Operation > Options > Push To Talk and turn it to /Off/ by default make sure it saves the setting then log-out & Quit Game and upon restarting game the bug should be fixed permanently. Done&Done. |

You know what? You may be onto something. I bought the vet pack Sat. since it was the only pack I needed to have them all, and soon after I bought it, my mic trouble started. It also took a while for my aurum to show up, but the suit, rifle and other stuff showed up right away. I didn't use any boosters from it yet though, I'm still using my ones from the elite.
Still, it's either a funny coincidence, or somethings up with this. Anyone else buy any packs or aurum this weekend? |

Hi everyone, I wanted to follow up on what happened.
This was simply an ISP error, the ISP hosting the voice servers was experienced "intermittent packet loss and delay" through one of their peers starting over the weekend, and lasting for a few days. This was really bad timing since the problem was not identiifed until Monday, and the ISP temporarily rerouted traffic to fix these issues.
This has nothing to do wih our voice system, just a really unfortunate hosting problem.
Please, everyone, file tickets when anything like this happens so we get a sense of the scope of the problem and other relavent details. The forums are a good place to press for certain issues from the devs, but we get real, quantifiable details from the petitions.
Apologies for the late response, I was taking care of wedding plans for a few days and handling this problem remotely; I was unable to get on the forums to respond... |
