because when the word "launch date" got thrown into the marketing strategy that raised our expectations ten fold
"launch date" was some petty bait tho, it was marketing strats pssing in our face in an effort to draw in some emergency
numbers which we failed to retain.
we are bitter because a term like "launch date" which has come and pass, raised our expectations to all the hype
i'm not talking about this number of damage or this bit of splash radius or this amount of range, we're talking about
core fundamentals such as integrating with EVE more,
why are EVE pilots not allowed to provide hi sec orbitals
in pub matches?
you really think someones in pubmatch/high sec is going to say F dust because i didnt have an NPC orbital available?!?!"
no they say F dust because there is nothing bigger than a gimmick of an automated orbital
they can say well screw the EVE/merc connection and just concentrate on groundpounding but getting zapped by automated SUPER ACCURATE
turrets discourages many players i try to talk into playing this game-
they run the wrong corner and are headshotted by non manned
large turret installations that were once advertised as being a player assett somewher on youtube that cost isk but instead ends up spammed all over by this bell/whistle of installations being randomly dropped
as we desperately try to avoid LAVs only to be headshotted by your stupid large unmanned turret installations THAT AREN'T EVEN BEING OPERATED BY A FKING PLAYER!!!!!!!!!
we askk for drones/pve not this ghetto ass sht.
.. to see the 8th or 9th RANDOM turret being dropped, and were still working on destroying the 6th on a map too large for a petty 16 vs 16.. yea awesome GG

The game is "officially released" but we are still in BETA pretty much. All suits don't even have all factions. |

i want to "sell" dust to ppl i kno in RL but they are under the impression that they'll communicate with a "spaceship pilot" so my option is to lie to them before they figure it out anyway that it's just automated.. before their head gets blown off by a large unmanned blaster installation because they couldn't find enough red infantry nearby for the obvious reasons (redline, AFK, etc.) |

'Launch Date' was probably some contractual rubbish they had with Sony.
Nobody in their right mind who had a choice would have 'Launched' DUST in its current state. There seems to have been near a year of wasted time for everyone, and its pissing people off. |

agreed...i reckon *insert patch title here* version 2.0 released on the PS4 will be the game the devs at CCP REALLY intended to release. I still see the game as a beta, although it has been officially released. there's content missing (racial suits, weapons, and vehicles)...there are balancing issues, and the community is, as a whole, dissatisfied...well not so much dissatisfied, but disappointed that Dust 514 isn't living up to it's potential. Now, the community is a strong community...the player base is of the die hard variety, and we aren't about to abandon this project knowing the potential that it has and the vision that CCP has for Dust. We all wish for the game that was not only promised to us, but a game that we, as a community, help to develop. And CCP, despite popular belief, listens to the community when releasing patches and updates. Stick around, mercs. Dust isn't gonna be some polished EA or Dice game overnight. Hell, even in it's less than a year existence, I still get more enjoyment from Dust than any of those other "commercial" games. One day, hopefully soon, CCP will have the power (and the executive producer) to make Dust into what it really could be. But no matter how long it takes, it's gonna happen. Dust isn't going anywhere...and I'll still be here rockin' in New Eden. Now show me the ISK!!! |

Even after PS4, after all the patches and the add-ons and the nerfs and buffs... this game will still be the red-headed stepchild. It will never get the same treatment as EVE. |
