it WILL be a new game. any eve player knows just how game-changing some of CCP's patches can be....sometimes it changes the entire feel of the game completely via changing things some people would consider core, unchangeable things.
In addition, CCP does somethign that other game companies dont do and that is put a large focus on iterating. This is important because it stops old content from getting stale and things are always being touched upon. There is only one other game i can think of that successfully does this and that is Runescape. And hey, look how long both runescape and EVE have been going......a decade.
Id much rather have CCP and Dust than some ****** "big money" game like COD that tries to sell you the same game over and over again.

They have to stop lazing around and get to work cos it's taking months to complete these updates and your not doing much, and you got the worry of players leaving the game. Yet another ignorant arrogant loudmouth who didn't even look at the no less than a dozen Dev post both a week before and and in the days following 1.3 specifying that it was a SMALL update of BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS ONLY to also help set the stage for the MUCH LARGER 1.4 AND 1.5 UPDATES. Put it in all caps to ensure it's easy to read. My point is, it took months for them to succeed.
it took months for them to succeed? ya, now i know you know nothing of what you are talking about.
there are so many things i want to say, i wish i could just slap you one lol. If you really feel that CCP is sitting on their hands I highly reccommend you watch videos from Fanfest this year. You know, the week long event where CCP parties with gamers and tells them whats up, where they spend hours upon hours sharing their dreams and aspirations and allow users to give real feedback on the game...
And then they have to push that aside to cater to joe **** the rag man and the rest of the people who have something new to whine about every day.
Frankly, after considering your points tho, CCP really should try to have a better relationship with the gamers. We dont have much of a say in the development of the game or how patches roll out. Im thinking CCP should take a look at EA. Seems BF has some pretty amazing connections set up with their gamers, its like the gamers are the ones making all the decisions there.
