Laugh it up fellas, before the game crashes, they will try something as last ditch effort. Please don't pull numbers out of the air, then base your arguments around them. The AFK'ing is a symptom of an underlying issue, being that there isn't enough content to keep people interested. The combination of the promise of content with the punishing SP system says you either force yourself to play the game or permanently gimp yourself. If the game was interesting, people would play, and if the SP system didn't cap you out, people could leave for long periods of time without missing anything. Please don't blame DUST's issues for the mismanagement of your free time. I like the game, the only time I consider quitting is when I see how crappy the community (you) is, and CCPs failure to address... you. If I, a long time high SP player considers quitting because of you, again, my GUESS is there are ten, low SP players actually quitting per month, and then those people tell their friend... its marketing 101. and DUSTs numbers are down, this ain't rocket science. If you fail to see why people are AFK'ing and just look at the consequences of it, then we're never going to find a solution for it that actually makes the game better. The fact that I'm not the only AFK'er should've also made you really think about the wording of your post, making it seem as though I'm out for myself, when really I'm trying to help by showing you why people do what they do. I implore you to ask AFK'ers why they AFK. If the topics "repetitive gameplay", "stale lobby shooter", or "SP system" don't come up in conversation, I'll post pics of me stuffing my *male reproductive organ* in my left ear.
This argument has gone on in the forums long enough.. I don't care what reason people have to AFK farm, I assume they are handicap socially in some way. It is a video game, and they are going to "fall behind" in a video game, if they don't log in and ...... what???
What other video game do you expect to log in and earn... something? I think I'll load up EA NHL hockey for a few hours, my team will lose but I'll have some free skills for later.... it is an exploit for no lifers... ***** off.... no really guys, I log in cause EA NHL sucks as is, just bear with me.. The Hypocrite ACTIVELY playing a Game calls AFKers (Inactive/Passive Gaming) "No -Lifers" when they are, more often than not, "Living" Life & participating in Other Activities..... Same goes for the term "Tryhard", as if "Trying Hard" to WIN is bad unless it is themselves, whereby they are PRO if a "Tryhard" is not presently making them look quite "Noob"..... Game I'm currently in EKH0 0ne, cr7 jfc, and tyh s are all sitting in the MMC from about the beginning of the game on. The first two went 0-0 whole game while tyh s went 1-1. There were two others sitting in the beginning ground spawn but I didn't get a chance to spawn over there and see there names.
Seriously go to Ambush if you wanna AFK, atleast when you hide in the hills your not hurting the game as bad as in a skirmish.
You're gonna need a bigger list.
However, you can probably get away with just Excel, not enough players to bother moving to an enterprise database. |
