in the p.c. war battles in between hellstorm and warravens,annonymous,187..we have had many allies and now there all dead and gone...times are changing even I left what was once a home for 3 years from MAG to dust514....WARRAVENS.... due to bulllshit political jive and leadership failure...In the end there is no rebuilding, and there is no hope 187 was disbanded, annonymous has left and hellstorm has suffered heavy loses on the batlefield...this doesnt mean they arnt a corporation it doesnt mean they failed...this game is full of stress levels ,such people cant handle...in the end what your left with is a leadership scale of failure..deceit..and complete failure to communcate..this game isnt the problem its mass actions of morons united of why things fell..for some groups such as eon is still standing..southern legion will finish warravens off if they cant hold the line and so on,so forth..everything unfolds here, and whats to come is the biggest question...i left my corp to end my p.c. war days for an enjoyment of the real game...i can be hired but for no corporation will i ever assign myself a ranking nor' will i fight for unjust idioticness..its a video game, yes this is a given, but the games that is politically played is something that was forever unforseen...to those corps that are still strong and still trying to hold there districts..i give them ( o7 ) keep up the fight some of us never finished...all in all,our alliance is dead and the bones will be picked clean from this point forward....all those guys in eon and southern legion..g/l you guys are one hell of the fighters..as for even the rest of you fighting that great battle out there...be weary it only gets harder, and the enemies get even smarter..this game can change in the blink of the fingers as you tear them down with the weapons you use to soak your hands with the blood as walk over your districts...i believe in all of you, even if you weren't in my corporation..
god be with you
my reasoning for leaving my corporation after 3 years....PEACE OF WAR is what 8 or more of us wanted...and peace of war is what we have achieved.

Failcascade (n.) : The great migration of a large number of players from an Eve or Dust corp in a relatively short period. Often due to the snowball effect of other prominent members leaving causing the main group of players in the corp to jump ship. |

This game isn't a normal fps and the more people treat it like one the worse the game will be to them. It's like buying a Porsche and using it to deliver mail. This game is about politics and bragging rights. It is stressful and it does burn people out. I blame active SP and the false idea that a merc can't operate without full prototype gear.
This game has good potential and will probably be good but if no one can get past the grinding mentality then it is already dead. Leadership is difficult and maintaining good moral is even more difficult.
Corporate managers are going to have to accept the fact that a full ringer team isn't always possible and be ready, willing and prepared to send B+ mercs into battle for defense of districts. Lack of content and a dropsuit selection that leaves people feeling forgotten and overlooked only makes things worse.
Only the strongest clans will be able to handle to shift to DUST because there is a big difference between a clan and a corporation. People make fun of the single shard/mmo part of DUST and call it BS but it breaks normal fps clans down and it is because they have to compete with everyone all the time not just some random guy whom was matched up with them.
Match making takes the mmo out of DUST buy not letting us just go there. Start opening districts in every system and restrict some gear by sec status. Drop match making and let us make our own battles.

Yeah, honestly I have no idea what goes on most of the time in my corp or the alliance. I am pretty hands-off, and while I would like to be more involved, I just don't play as much as it would require to really get things done. So I just do my own thing and stay out of it (mostly). Which is fine by me, I am no leader and I certainly don't have the social patience to deal with it all.

No disrespect to clans from outside of New Eden, but i would be honestly and happily impressed if a single fps clan survived as a corp in DUST.
Maybe a clan of older guys or RL vets might stand a chance, if they're content to stay in the shallow end of the pool.
Corps and Alliances are going to shatter under the blows and buckle under the stress of the New Eden endgame. They will be alloyed, reforged and tempered into something far stronger and then ripped apart again, until what emerges out of this process are genuine New Eden entities. These forces will operate just as ruthlessly on the psyches of the individual mercs who take part in it over the course of years.
Until eventually new players coming into the game will shake their heads in wonder and disgust at the twisted, ruthless political monsters you have all become.

A lot of New Eden is built around the political game. What you are describing happens on a daily basis in Eve, and has been for 10 years. This type of "drama" is what makes CCP games unique, for better or worse. |

He's serious - a cascade failure is a legitimate term that references the sudden collapse of an alliance. This wasn't an attack - he was trying to let you know you aren't the first, and won't be the last. |

We were actually very excited for the LOI/EoN. war when it was pitched to us. We wanted to have some great fights between old friends. Sadly that turned into a cluster-f that even the term cascade would be too tame to describe what went on.
I feel your pain man. After that war, the majority of our clan decided that this game had too many issues to risk losing our core and moved on to other games. |
