So dropships are medium expensive paper weight, still hasent been fixed.
SOON we Will have 'fighter' crafts (cheap assult dropships) wich Will be' nice
But as i recently discovered the 'bomber' that were getting is just an expensive paper weight with bombs
Where is our heavy aircraft? |

The secret advantage of Tanks and LAV's right now over dropships (other than DS being paper) is the Fact that they are on the ground. Or rather, they are constantly LOS and have many obstacles to move around or behind in order to rep up or hide from Forge Guns and swarms.
In the air there is no cover.
Imagine a HAV as it is now, except flying in the air and fairly slow. The thing would almost be a joke, it'd be so easy to kill.
Any AV on the map could target it from anywhere and if it got close to the ground it might die from collision impacts or flip over. Or get stuck as it's landing gear glues it to one spot for being too too low. Such a tank would be demolished in moments.
So what is the problem with a heavy aircraft vehicle again?

Where is our heavy aircraft? Who knows? Hell, we've even had a Dev make a post about MTACs, but not a single damn word about aircraft. Kind of a downer for someone who got into this game wanting to be a pilot.
