There is a problem with the graphics that happens at certain distances. I would say anything over 200 meters away seems to have the problem.
The problem is that players and vehicles seem to clip inside structures and ground at certain distances. They actually aren't clipping though it just seems that way. I can tell, because I'm still able to shoot people that seem to be inside walls, floors and the ground.
This problem occurs on all maps and on any kind of structure or environment. Sometimes they appear with half their body in the structure, floor or ground and other times they disappear completely.
This is a pretty severe problem at times because you cant tell if a person is in front of a structure or behind it.
Please let me know if others experience this problem. |

These two are about the same thing.
The problem has definitely become worse since 1.3
I am now seeing some Mercs "through" the wall they are hiding behind. I can see the whole body, but they are behind a wall. I cannot hit them.
I can see the whole body of the crouching sniper, but he is behind the hill.
Previously it was the other way round. I could not see the Merc. standing in front of the Wall, but could hit them.
Mercs completely disappear when running up concrete ramps, they used to only sink up to their knees.
The situation has absolutely been getting worse and worse.

I agree this seems to be worse recently. An example is Spine Crescent. If you are in the turret at C/D-6 and zoom in on "A" you can see this effect for mercs moving to the West of A on the platform where A sits. The players can be seen through the railings.
If I was to guess I'd say it was a draw order / clipping / LOD issue associated with the moving players and the railings that are part of the structure. It may be that at that distance there is a LOD boundary that somehow complicates the display of the moving characters. |
