I'm thinking about speccing into one of them. Assault because I like the Scram Rifle and the LR will have a scope that will be usable. But the logistics has more CPU and PG so I can fit more stuff and have complex shields on an advanced suit while having enhanced armor and stuff. I like using Amarr weapons and all, but it's a hard decision. Help? I don't know what reason to go assault besides the bonus. |

Looking forward to the updated sights on my Elm LR I jumped into an advanced Amarr assault. The heat build up bonus is sweet. I am ready to dry some tears with it when it gets better sights. |

Also if you are going to use shields.... you are doing something wrong and.... I am disappointed.
I say Amarr Assault and spec both LR and ScR |

Yeah respects aren't needed. If you fill your core skills you can be pretty dominant in a BPO fit really.
But back to the real point here: I unlocked both basic fits awhile back, and I liked the Logi suit simply because of the repair bonus, along with the CPU boost and sidearm at the basic logi level. But I encourage you to try both to see which fits your style of play. There's no reason not to try. |

if your going to use the amarr assault I like to dual tank for more survivability like - 1-2 shield ext. - 2 armor ext. - 1 armor repair but only on my STD assault but im not sure what im going to do with my ADV suit
but with my logistics im all about the repping and revivng part of being a logistics
also remember that the amarr logi is also the combat logi so you can go out guns blazing when you want to but make sure you have the assault variants of the SR because single fire SR wont be as effective.
you can also dual tank you logi if you want to only if you want it to live longer in combat because it will and its very useful but fit it however you want.
P.S I have the logi and assault so I can try out both and decide which one I want and I chose assault but choose which ever one you want |

I'd be really, really leery of the Amarr Logistics. There is a chance it might get nerfed.
That being said, if you're looking to use the Scrambler Rifle and/or Laser Rifle Amarr Assault is not a bad choice. At PRO with max shield and armor upgrades you can get 800 EHP with no movement speed penalty and an armor repairer. Laser Rifles due to their mechanics get the most benefits from Amarr Assaults bonus. The Scrambler can be used with any suit however, and I'd consider particularly the Minmatar Assault as well because its bonus helps both the Flaylock and SMG, two sidearms who partner with Scramblers due to their effectiveness against armor. It's speed also helps with closing in to finish people off.
Now I think if you do wish to go into Amarr Logistics I suggest going with Mass Drivers (though it too might be nerfed) and/or Swarm Launchers personally. A sidearm + additional slots for Nanohives and Remote Explosives adds a lot of support for those two weapons. |

If you're serious about the LR, Assault. That 25% extra firing time is all extra firing time with the beam in full deathray mode. It significantly boosts your ability to make a laser sweep. When ADS tracking is buffed this should be made even easier. |

I agree that the laser rifle looks stupid with the new scope and should of stuck with the iron sights which were fine, but oh well it's happening now so eh. |

CCP would never nerf the amarr because somehow in someway in some universe in some planet in some staition in some office out of all the races they made the amarr race perfect. nuff said |

I have both at proto level on two chars, ill just tell you what the assault has that the logi doesn't.
Higher shield recharge rate, more shields, faster movement speed, bonus to laser weaponry, should have more stamina but I'm not absolutely certain. |

Wrong, amarr logistics is working as intended and fits its description perfectly as an assault oriented logi, yeah it can achieve decent tank but it still has low shield recharge rate and very slow movement, it's one of the only suits that does what it says in the description. An assault should be quicker with higher recharge rate with more hp, the amarr assault has exactly that but the logi has more hp in armour and assault has more hp in shields at max tank. |

There is no reason whatsoever to nerf the amarr logi, the only people who will think it needs a nerf are ones who have no read it's description. |

No, logi at advanced is 3 high and 3 low, proto logi is 3 high, 4 low. As for roles, assault is assault, faster with more shields and the logi can fit different roles better because that is by actual definition what logistics is. Assault are front line grunts and logistics is a specialist role, |

If you just want to kill and move around quickly then assault, id you want specialist roles including tanking for defensive play then logi. Hope all that helps |

On one hand you have speed, more shield recharge, more speed, 60 more base shields, and a great laser bonus. . On the other hand you have more equipment slots, more PG/CPU, and one more low slot at proto Tough decision.
I'm currently an Amarr logi, but I eventually I plan on branching into assaults also. |

I don't think the scrambler rifle heat is affected at all by the Assault suit bonuses, just the laser rifle. |

The way I see it is that:
Amarr assault basically gives you a free complex shield recharger bonus at level 5 and a free complex damage mod or better due to how heat mechanics works (2 highslots at no fitting cost)
The Amarr Logi gives you a free complex armor repairer and some more efficient armor repairers and extra equipment traded for reduced speed.
The amarr logi can be more versitile, but will require a greater SP investment to do the same damage as an amarr assault.
Also, use laser weapons.

Source?
Also, its obvious that the amarr logi bonus is changing... you cannot and should not make a decision based on racial bonuses.
If anything, choose which one you think looks prettier.. that's about all you have to go on until 1.4 changes are announced.
I would be very leary of choosing amarr logi cause of the logi passive armor reps, I have a sneaking suspicion that bonus is going away as well. |

Yea you can do good in BPO with the core skills but then its again a grind just to get to an item that was withheld such as Heavies and Scouts who still don't have access to all race suit variants. Sure you can grind your way to fulfill the role you want again in standard non-role fits but its just too boring. People specialize now cause they want to have fun with the game having a build but its pretty stupid how so many things were missing. The game just shouldn't have come out of beta yet. |

The Assault has the highest EHP and CPU/PG among the assault suits, great for hybrid tanking, great for using laser weaponry and has so much stamina.
The Logistic is very very very versatile, especially good for AV roles.
My advice is to train both, youre not gonna regret it. |

I have complex shields, complex damage mods. enhanced regulators, enhanced armor reppers, enhanced armor, advanced ASCR, lvl 4 scrambler pistol, adv shotgun, proto with prof 3, advanced swarm, and a ton of basic stuff like my explosives. I have around 7.4 million SP in total. I have mostly lvl 3 some 5 core skills. I'm saving for full Amarr. How much SP will I need for just the advanced logi? |
